While CG is down, remember that there are alternatives.
Kidkapri has a server up and running and so does Clan DOU. I am sure that Kid would LOVE to see the traffic on his server increase and I KNOW that you will get good pings and good service at the DOU server. Keep this in mind as you are waiting for CG to wake up.

Sure as the world... I post this and look up the servers. Both are down.

Gonna see what is up with the DOU redeemer server.

Have you removed the new downloads, MEAT? This is the redirect thing that I was talking about. With the new stuff that you add, it takes forever to download directly from the server. The redirect will point the game to an external source for the file. It will speed things up for the users and draw more traffic to your server.
Oh, and I apologize for leaving you out MEAT. I want your server to flourish.

He knows and we are working on it. Hard to reach redirecting and file compress over a voice connection. He's getting there though.

Baby steps.....slowly but surely...lol
But in my case it's 2 steps forward 1 step back.
Currently I'm thumbing through a bunch of NEW/different maps to hopefully add to my server. Can't believe how many maps are out there....amazing. And if anyone wishes to have a map added throw it my way and I'll run it up the flag pole.
I've also compressed a couple maps...just to see if I could do it...lol
And I'll be talking with Mr Hermshii about redirecting later in the week.
For someone that is clueless about all this I'm starting to understand.

Give yourself a little credit, MEAT. You are doing very well. I am genuinely proud of you.

You have learned a lot in a short time. It seems that you are actually enjoying the experience too. This is what really counts.

You are right, it's enjoyable and I'm learning a lot from Hermskii. I just don't know how far I can take this server....with all the new maps and stuff before it gets to big. Time will tell.
I'm out of town for the next 3 days so I'll buckle down when I get back and hopefully get this server closer to where I want it.
