The CTF gametype of the old Quake II game had grappling hooks, I used to hook myself all over the map and railgun someone, hook to another clifftop, railgun someone, hook to behind some boxes, railgun someone...you get the idea.

It was so funny when I would be on ground level for a change, and I would see my dad or uncle or cousins (it was a family thing) scanning the cliffs for me before I came up behind them and put a slug through their head.

But doing that sort of thing with the redeemer? Redeemer has 4 types of person: Bots, Newbies, Campers, and Heroes.

Campers make up approximately 80% of all players already , why add a camping tool?

Well, it just seems like it might help attract players, as the players seem to all migrate to Redeemer servers that HAVE a translocator.
I want to stay different - so ergo the grappling hook. !?!?

And, it is not really a camping tool, in that you are definitely moving when you use it!

Don't go lawyer on the Cow, he'll headbutt you.

Sure, add the grappling hook, all the campers teleport (quite literally
) around anyway, so It couldn't hurt to have something a bit more newbie friendly.
We need something in our favor, all we get right now is people who stand on a roof spamming redeemers and then ask if other people are noobs, the irony would kill us if the nukes didn't.

I want to grapple up behind those cringing wretches and turn them into catfood!

Are they camping or teleporting?
Since when are you so familiar with redeemer players and their styles?
I have yet to see you out there.
Come on Hamburger, get with the program!

Teleporting up to happycamper sites, then teleporting a short distance away if I try to purify the area with cleansing flames.

Um, since I started fighting them?

No problem of mine, it'll happen when it happens.

I am usually on between 5 & 10pm MST / US (-7 UTC) on a variety of Redeemer or very select few MH servers.
