Kort, your just saying that in general right? I could jump no problem to, but mixing one thing into another in a few maps pisses some players.

Btw, pure CTF maps don't have BT in them. BT happened to evolve from CTF since the end objective is to get to the flag in a separate setting.
As I said, I have yet to see a DM, AS, or LMS map with BT elements in it. MH is the only one that I know has a few maps with them in it.

Btw Kort, if you need help in the hammer jump, I can help. Since I come from the AS community, it's a widely used tool.

I feel like if there are floating blocks people have the right to "Expletive Deleted".

BUT, If it is stuff like in the screenshot , witch are not floating blocks , then it is not BT and should be called something else
and people must learn to play. There should be things to jump over in maps without it being labeled BT.

Yes please teach me some time soon. I have a mod called UT olympics. It is a competition to call upon all types of ut skills. You are graded on the time it takes to complete each section. One of the first ones is the hammer jump comp. I cant make it through without cheating.
I want to be a master of the IH. I have seen some people get around nice with it. Most CTF players are really good with it.

Another thing that i think is just incredible is people spraying the goo gun on a wall then using the exploding globs like steps to boost them over super high walls. This type of play is totally leet. I have to learn it. Have you ever seen anyone do this? It looks like they just run up and over the wall . It is amazing!

It is TRUE that MH and BT type stuff is already on many CTF maps. I hate to agree but I hate BT stuff in MH maps unless it is totally easy. TOTALLY EASY I SAID! BT is most most closely related to CTF maps by far. That doesn't make it right though. BT is it's own gametype. I hate to be on both sides of the fence but BT is fun in MH maps if it is EASY. Otherwise, keep it out or offer another route that takes as long as a BT section that one dies on twice at least. Then, make sure that if a player finishes a BT section they get something more for it than a player that took the monster route. That is all. Well, sort of all.

True, if it's "easy" enough, then players won't get pissed off. I'm just referring to those that do piss them that they'll just ignore it or come back later. Plus it doesn't have to be "floating platforms" to be BT, but involve a lot of other elements not commonly found in other maps.
So basically I'm of the same mindset as Herm.

I to also got the UT Olympic mod yrs ago & did well on most things.

As far as the goo trick, I've done that also. Did it 1st time with a suit that help to protect one's health on a map called AS-MissileSilo & at the entrance area to get onto the side walls. Takes a bit of timing to do it well.

There's also a keybind to help with those big hammer launches. If you want, we could go onto a server (do you use xfire? if so add me, same name as here). Mr. Loathsome's maybe?

Next week sounds fine actually cause this Monday will be Thanksgiving here in Canada (ya, we have it a month before you guys there!), so early in the day would be good or some other day should be fine too (depending on the time).

damn,thats retarded, im not that good at those but that doesnt mean im gonna give up its just kortniechan said...you gotta keep trying, wtf i think this is the true definition of a noob "someone who gives up and completely alters an extremely fun map with some pretty simple bunny hops just because they cant do them" i think thats one for my UT dictionary. But anyway dont call someone a noob just because they cant do bunny hops as well as you...give them tips, thanks to matrix i finally got the combat pistol on haunted not that long ago, i say only call them a noob if they give up and leave.
