;) no i meant it as "its a good program"

Files are uploading right now.
58 files and we are ready to go live.

@Herm:
When do yo plan to switch?
There is a little file called mhminfo.htm i think
It is the rules of the server that pops up in the mapvote entry window.
My window is going to be blank till you upload your files.
eta?

Good going. I think this will be much harder for several of the others. I don't know when I'll do it but I do plan to back up the website and then move a copy of my stuff over and then get a new provider. I don't know when exactly. Sorry. I suspect I'll be here for at least another month but I'm sure that gopostal's stuff is faster and better backed up than my stuff is.

I also host for MEAT, Hook, Killer-Klownz and maybe even more that I am forgetting right now. We need to get them moved over soon too. Sorry I'm so not into this right now but I will be soon! This is smart to do for all of us.

gopostal is doing a lot of stuff for us here. I want to say thanks for all of us for that. I think lots of great things are to come of this so I'm hoping we can put this into some sort of order based on what we want to do, and what will need to be done first and foremost. I also want a backup plan in the even of catastrophic failure at gopostal's end. His plan has to be better than mine but I still want to know. Lots of decisions need to happen here to make sure that any work done isn't wasted work. Just a few thoughts that we need to discuss is:

Are we going to release a whole new version of MH?
Will gopostal keep all of the files for the servers instead of me?
Will all our maps need to be updated to run the new mod version?
Didn't I read about a new forum maybe or a download site for all of the files?
Do we need to update tutorials to mention issues gopostal found in maps for MH?
Will everyone run their servers from a server gopostal has?
What is better PC or MAC? Hehe.
Do we all agree on what we want in the new MH mod?
How can we help gopostal do all this stuff?

So that is a few things I'm thinking about. Lets try to prioritize what we are doing and have full consensus about how we do it if possible. Some how, and someway, I will always maintain all of my info or at least a copy of it here at my house. For me, I have to have the ability to turn stuff on or off at will for my stuff. It is just the way I am. If gopostal can get everything done that he has suggested and we have gratefully accepted then there is lots to do especially for him. Let's get on the same page here soon and start getting it taken care of. K is stepping first and doing great so far. Let's keep working out bugs and issues as we go. Thanks again gopostal for everything! CYA!
~Peace~

My server is redirecting to your redirect gopostal.
Everything appears to be working fine.

The only thing i am wondering about is the files herm was talking about in another thread that we must have a couple copies in the dir with different caps in the spelling.
We should maybe wait till hem uploads his stuff.
These files will be uploaded then if we are in fact sharing the directory.
Srry just thinking out loud. :b

I think a website would be warranted if it contains a nice file download section. Would be nice to rebuild what i lost at Planet Monster Hunt a couple years ago. I was an admin over there when the whole place went down. We had a nice map and file DL section.

@ the map fixes idea.
I think it could be plausible.
We should start with one map that we like the most and go from there.
Start a new thread in the mapping section , maybe start a poll on witch one is the most quality of map and worth the trouble "cause it will be trouble fixing some of these maps.
Do you have a list building of the maps that crash the server?
I have my LA13 set to list crashed maps , i can relay it to you as soon as all my maps cycle a few times. I guess we need a new thread.

Well i am a noob at scripting. Most likely what is going on in the really bad maps is some kind of codeing in the map.

Other errors i have noticed are
some mappers use wrong kind of factory to spawn monsters.
This throws up a cascade of errors that if the pile up could probly crash a server.

I started to learn scripting when i made my last map.
It contained 4 jump boot variations that i tried to code my self.
I ended up having help and didn't learn much.
Coders are real reluctant to help you on forums so i gave up.
I am familiar with object oriented programing though.
