Re: Bugged/Unfinished Maps Thread
Yeah, its pretty much bunk. Look at all the maps I've turned them on in and it hasn't been an issue. Every actor, whether it is a sound area, a light, a trigger, anything has a check built into the code. As the server renders the map it looks at that check (bVisible) in every single actor. As long as it sees "no" it won't render the actual icon for the actor but does everything else. Making them visible has zero effect on the level, physics, server, or game. You could turn on every single one in a map and play the level seeing every brush and it wouldn't matter at all.

OK, added another fix. MH-DinoCanyon now has a safe area to spawn. No more bird raping, a serious flaw in that map. Tossed in some jump boots too to save you the trouble of having to turn of the antiboost.

Thank you for fixing that Dino map.

I know what's wrong with this map: the MonsterEnd is floating in the middle of the Titan's room and there are no jump boots around; well unless the mapper forgot to set properly that thing you guys call "hit radius"...ScottyD wrote:About Panic: I'll fix it this evening then. I bet I know whats wrong with it before I even look.

There's really two choices with this.
A) Live with it.
B) Remove all the complex houses and replace them with block houses (the norm in UT).
The bottom line is the poly count is astronomical and it's pushed the engine about as far as it's gonna go.

We've been living with it for a while and we're OK
Just posting them on the off chance they might have been missed...Well, OK the hellfires house I'd like to disguise as a warning to other players

I also don't like the hole but, when do you come on that place?
We know it now and the other players won't come there probably so not a big problem for me.

MH-GoldenGirl-TuraJail
Reason: no MonsterEnd, the final bridge can't be activated, and the lava pit under the bridge is empty.

Hmm, no, Scify had also a package mismatch with a file named ChaosUT I think, plus that map sucks, it's not worth the whole ChaosUT mod download.

Pretty much all the GoldenGirl maps are like that. A whole bunch of WTF?!? which in itself isn't a bad thing, so long as there is good play involved too. I'm not a big fan of the maps though.

Probably, I have here the link to the needed file for that map:

Gopo, Rei or POTS could you try it on the server?
Also thanks to ViC, he sended me the good site for it.

The portal map thats on the server is pretty much the same thing. I removed the various teleporters that took you to different single player levels because that's what we use mapvote for.
Also (thank you for reminding me Scify) I fixed Godz-Last-Chance and posted it to the server. The map still sucks hard but it can be finished now. I reduced gravity in the map a bit so you can make all those long falls without taking health loss.
