Server Mods/Mutators

Here's a link to this useful mutator, we can use the Keep It Clean part to avoid cussing, just like on Hermskii's servers.

Now I wonder what's the name of the mutator that allows you to broadcast messages during on-line games, like "visit http://www.hermskii.com", "respect the rules" and stuff like that.
I think Hermskii told me it was the ServerAdds mutator. In that case it is available here.

Reiyel, guys, what do you think?

About the ''Visit hermskii.com'' part, I believe it's named ''Server Line'' 1,2 etc..
I only know you can do it in a Host Multiplayer Game in UT and then Server.

No, I was speaking about the white messages that randomly pop-up in your chat-box, you need to install that ServerAdds mutator in order to use them.

Reiyel, I think we should use the same anti-cuss filters Hermskii's using; as regards the "broadcasted spam messages" I'd use:

1 - Visit http://www.hermskii.com
2 - Play fairly and respect the rules
3 - Join us at http://www.hermskii.com/Forum
4 - Forget to bind a map-vote key?
5 - Press TAB and enter "mutate bdbmapvote votemenu"
6 - Don't forget to visit our first {MHM} server

If you have any other suggestions, feel free to post them.

I agree on everything you said POTS. Thank you very much for the links, leave it to me now.

EDIT: Server add is already added and it's working. However, Bodens mutator will may produce conflicts with Nexgen. I'll try to find one similar mutator on the net. If you know of someone, please give me the link :D

Why would server adds conflict with next gen. I keep hearingabout this next gen but know nothing about it. I hear lots of problems with it more than anything.

Personally I'd bet the Bodens will conflict with Nexgen, not server adds. Bodens attempts to hook into a lot of different things if I remember right. I've used nexgen and it's a good full-coverage server controller but you have to be a little careful what you add into the mix with it.

Good luck on the server guys, i will try to stop by on my free time (which seems to be at a minimal these days :roll: )
Server adds run perfectly fine with nexgen, i use to run both on my old server with nor errors at all.
never ran the boden mod though but id take scotty's advice on it.
just my two cents

Guys I am thinking of making a server specific version of UTJ for the MHMIII server. There are a couple of minor issues that need ironed out and also I would like to redo the announcer sounds so that it is more unique and not so boring. Would you like me to include anything? It makes a good base to build from if you want to add stuff into it.

Right now it does the H.S. announcement at 20 kills. I want to replace that with something better, and also add something for 100 and 200 (sprees). I'm wide open to suggestions so let me have 'em!

Man I really like that second female one. Think that will do? Also I was thinking of replacing the chainsaw with something useful, and also making a custom weapon awarded by the utj like a grenade or something that is very powerful but short ranged.

A grenade sounds cool actually, but i have to vote against taking out the chainsaw ask anybody who knows me...its my favorite weapon lol :D
But then again i really do like explosions....

OK Im on the UTJ mod now reworking it and cleaning it up. I'm going to make the messages more fun and I need some help here. This section is where I am at:

How about changing those to make it more fun. For the bio it could be changed to "You got the Goo Gun"

Also I am modelling custom pickups to replace the default health pickups. Anyone have any desires they'd like to see? It's not going to be anything wild or weird, just an update to make it fresh. I can model any ideas you might have so toss them at me.

Scotty, can't you make different ammo, weapons, health etc..?
For example: A redeemer with some cool colors and {MHM} on it?
Or Health with colors and {MHM} on it?
So you can use as message: ''You picked up the {MHM} Redeemer!''.

Kinda. A full weapon replacer mod is tricky in MH because there are so many custom weapons. I am redoing the health pickups though. Here is the medbox for example:

Now by no means is this final, but more a "this is what can be done" thing. BTW it looks a lot better in-game. The blue texture scrolls across it and it looks nice.
