A Klownz Technique

Always get max health, max armor, and a good pair of jump boots asap. You'll be surprised what you can survive with them . . . .

Even if you have max armor and jump boots, always take them anyways as you can deny them to other players. Only drawback is that a skilled player like MEAT is not only looking for you but is listening also. Every time you pick something up it makes a sound and will clue a skilled player as to where you are.

A skilled player can also use max health or armor as bait in two ways. One is simply waiting for you to pick it up. Two is picking it up himself so that you hear the sound and the skilled player pulls you into an ambush as you try to attack.

I do things that most players don't even think about...and some only dream of doing.
That's why most flee with my arrival and some retire all together....sad but true.
Anyway, I commend Killer_Klownz for trying to help the feeble.
His technique or advice is general and somewhat basic strategy but it should help those in need.

Another nice technique is to aim at an object that is close behind a player. The player thinks you missed when the redeemer goes by but they get caught up in the back blast from the object behind them and they inevitably type "WTF??". An easy technique as most players are aware only of whats in front of them and not to their side or rear . . . .

My couple of years fighting Redeemer Warlords on ut2k4 has made me already aware of that particular plan.

It will still kill me, but at least I won't type WTF 8)

Conventional wisdom is to never chase another player thru a gate as they will simply be waiting on the other side for you . . . . . Klownz loves to chase players thru gates . . . Simply throw your translocator to the side before you go thru the gate . . . as soon as you hear the player pop a redeemer at you just translocate back . . . 9 times out of 10 the player just hurriedly blows himself up trying to get you while you translocate to saftey . . . easy kill . . .

Klownz still puzzle me with their resilience.
On Face on Mars, I was in the hovering space ship raining terror down for a few kills.
When my defensive blasts failed to stop all incoming missiles from the surface, I ducked into the right-hand corner. Just then, Klownz burst in thru the teleporter right in front of me. Klownz did not see me.
But I saw four direct hits from those missiles and Klownz ran right thru them back out the other portal.
I ask again, is it special armor? Extra Mega health? Klownz luck?
Although I am SOMETIMES able to kill the Klownz, I wonder how they survive such brutal onslaughts. Standard max health & armor seem useless against direct and near hits.
Please Klownz, how do you REALLY do it? It is getting less fun to see you run away from what kills most players.

10 times out of 10 you'd be dead at CMM! :lol:
No "safety net" translocator! :P LOL :mrgreen:
That is unless Klownz has "special" armor like Fuzz_Ball asks about!?!?

1. In that tiny little box in Face on Mars how did you get off 4 shots never mind 4 "killing" shots? It isn't big enough . . .

2. If it's not fun or it's frustrating then don't play. Or don't play the Klownz . . .

3. Klownz uses a special prototype mod called the Fuzzinatorfrigamajava. It has a sliding damage scale that allows Klownz to allow Fuzz_Ball only 1 kill every 10 shots.

4. Ask yourself why no one else has a problem kiling Klownz when Its hit with a redeemer . . .

5. If you think the Klownz is cheating then say it, don't dance around it . . .
