Internet-Cut offs
For future reference, my internet cuts off at 12:05PM, UK time.
This is in fact my dad modifying the firewall to make me go to bed:
"from this time to this time, do not connect to the internet", basically.
So if I suddenly leave for no good reason then check the time, if the UK time is 12:05, it means my internet has cut off, not that I'm bored, retreating, insane, or any other reason

Re: Internet-Cut offs
Find your routers Default Gateway IP address then put that into a web browser and it should take you to the router settings.
If theres a password, then the default user and pass is somtimes written on the back.
if your dads changed it himself then well your outta luck
Fight the system!

Re: Internet-Cut offs
If you don't know the router login password, there's a pretty little reset button on the back of the router; hold that bad boy down for 10sec and default settings/default user and password will be reset.
BUT, you BETTER know how to reconfigure your router because it'll be like it just came out of the box.
Worked for me a good couple of times.

Or you could just let him be a concerned, involved parent who sets limits.

Haha, when I used to play WoW all day my dad installed a program called Network Nanny that he set to limit me to no more than 3 hours of internet connection in a 24 hour period. It also had an extensive log my dad could check that monitored my internet activity.gopostal wrote:Or you could just let him be a concerned, involved parent who sets limits.
I thought that was a bit unreasonable so I used a keylogger and got the pass so I could add hours to the clock whenever I wanted.
...and I turned out ok.

WIGGY SPAMBOT! BANZORZ!
Anyway: BIOMECH What router are you using? Because there are ways to sorta hack them And some of them contain Administrators hard coded passwords designed for the creaters of the router in case someone who sets a password sends it back and its fine or anything like that, so maybe urs is hackable/passwordable hehe
My dad did the same to me... for 3 days :p
