What do u want for the new MHM mod?
I know Herm and Matrix are planning to get on the test server this weekend and decide whats in and whats not for the new MHM mod.
So i figured i'd make a thread for us to discuss what we want, and see what the majority would like to see on the server.
Ill start with what i'd like.
No Translocator
The rally points system (this is desperately needed i think)
The fast regenerating ammo
Not bothered about the monster radar
No random weapon and powerup rewards
So if everyone could list what they would like that would be great.
So i figured i'd make a thread for us to discuss what we want, and see what the majority would like to see on the server.

Pah, radar!
Why not have andromeda arrows on all maps then?
I would like the score by damage and double or triple ammo regen, not 50 points a second or something equally insane though.

- If you get rid of the radar, you won't be able to use also the timer for the Searchlight/SCUBA, so we should keep the radar IMO.
- As regards faster ammo regeneration, maybe it could be balanced with a higher ammo-cap, I don't know.
- We should also keep the MonsterHUD (that thing that shows you the total amount of health of the monsters) and the translucent carcasses (I think it's pretty annoying when you kill tons of Brutes and Titans and your FOV is hindered).
- For everything else I do agree with Supreme.

Let me add a quick bit here guys. Any sort of custom config is available for Herm. I will mix-and-match anything he decides on and code it correctly. For instance the radar is currently built into the new hud but I would uncode that if people desire, leaving the rest. Another option is letting the client choose to use it, like the antiboost. I can add a command to turn it off and on client side. You guys look at the testserver like you are shopping the grocery store. Any of the things can go in the buggy for a final purchase. It's more of proof of concept than pre-final version. I expect to have to rework it before it is ready for him.
Really anything you guys want, I would do. I owe Herm so much, it the least I could do for him.

How about building a new Mapvote that gives you options to
use different mods/weapons...etc for different maps?
Or use sort of a BodenX mod and have fixed mods/weapons...etc
for certain maps?

As far as the radar, I don't think it's needed.
Faster ammo would be nice.
As far as the point system, a system that awards players for the amount of damage they caused on a monster would be cool; ex. If player A takes 40% percent of a warlords health, they should be rewarded with 40% of the warlords kill points...and of course the other 60% would be accordingly divided among any players that caused damage upon the warlord.

From a novice MH player I'd like to see points awarded for the amount of damage you do...like matrix said.
This is way over do.
And also have the strength/health of monsters vary depending on how many players are playing.
I think we all hate shooting at that one monster for 20 min...boring and very time consuming.
This is also another mod way over do.

i say keep the scoring, and the ammo, hate it when you gotta wait lke 10 mins for the mini gun ammo to go up

I think you will be pleased. The new hud is in. The radar is likley, The scoring system is in and the faster might get adjusted up JUST A LITTLE. Ma trix and I will be on tonight!
