Load testing servers

Ok here I go.. another topic for you all . Mwahah...

Have you all helped each other with load testing a server? To see how many players it can support and if any unforseen problems arrise?? Somthing like: "Ok we are all gonna meet on Herm's MH server at 8pm Saturday and slam the heck out of it, to see how it handles things."

Usually it is limited response - never enough players come together at once - again usually.

But we can always give it a try. Sometimes we succeed and others we don´t. Sometimes back in the MHM3 days we had up to 10 MHM'ers together, and we never set up a date. If people see other people connected then they all join.

Let´s give it a try. Set up a date but try to avoid nights. Some peeps are busy during nights and remember also we have a lot of different timezones here, and sometimes nights in the US is just too late for other players.

How about Saturday or Sunday in the afternoon.

Oh wow, talk about timing!

3, the one who runs 3's coop server, is testing the TGES maps for unexplained reasons. According to hellfy and supreme he was playing through them yesterday. This afternoon I met him in DeadCity2, our server, and he needs some players. Apparently, TGES6 is a higher-powered map and he wants "2-4 decent team players".

If a few people could show up at 22:00, or 10PM GM Time, Friday 26th[/b, it would be nice. I'll have to add as a disclaimer that because my dad's away I have to spend the mornings and evenings at mum's. This means I'm likely to suffer from a less sensitive mouse and slight packetloss.

Cow, you should also post if the TGES testing will be at 10pm GM Time Today (Friday, March 26th) or Saturday or Sunday. I´ll try to step by.

Back on topic, also help Sir Mandrake in picking a day. I say this Saturday in the afternoon.
