This goes out to all you guys that just can't get it.
I just hate seeing regulars, newbies and especially old timers clueless at this game.
If you want to get better at Redeemer just ask me for help.
It's not that hard...you just have to think a bit. And taunting doesn't help.
Especially when you can't back it up...it makes you look stupid.
I know I know, I hear it all the time..." I only play for fun".
No you don't...we all hate losing. If you didn't you wouldn't leave
when I come in.
So come on...get better/ask for help or just go play Monster Hunt.

Just do what Hook does, clone everyone and add clone-bots to your server. It's funny, really. Now where's that stupid Rei-bot clone gotta force him to eat his own shock combos...

Darn! I replied too but it didn't take or save so it is gone. It was a good big one too! What the hell? Why does that always happen to me. I post a monster post and it doesn't post and I get an error then when I hit back it says page not found or some crap like that. A whole thought process wasted!

What is worse is I can't recall what I wrote 5 minutes ago. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

My point had to do with somebody making MEAT mad to make him post that and me saying I'd play with him if nobody else would but would ask him to leave his "Inquiring minds want to know" camera at home.

No Hermskii, no one made me mad...I'm just frustrated. I hop on CG for a game and it's complete chaos.
A map full of regulars still playing like it was 1999. Spraying, taunting and clueless on how to play certain maps.
And gopo...MH is not a bad thing....I'm just disappointed. Maybe I ask/demand to much from others.
Actually I should be happy that people still play this silly game regardless of how bad they play.

Anywhere you go in UT99 is full of noobs, MEAT! Every gametype has them, they just deal with it in different ways.

While they may be annoying, they will generally lose in every gametype except Redeemer and MonsterHunt, because it is only in these two that they can win on a regular basis. MH in particular is technically impossible to lose, meaning that the vast majority of MH players are somewhat predictable. We just get around it by putting everyone on the same team fighting the AI so they can't ruin it for us quite as much.

What I'm trying to say is that if you play our gametypes you'll find noobs, constantly. There's just no point fighting it

I find this just funny, talking like MH is way easier then Redeemer.
It requires pretty much skill to not die in hard maps, you should try MH-LastVoyage, see how *easy* it is

Do we whine about Redeemer as most boring gametype? No, we don't.
Everyone has his taste and we like MH you like Redeemer.

MEAT, I meant my response to come across as tongue-firmly-planted-in-cheek. I hope that wasn't lost on you.

I totally get where you are coming from. I've had to work my MH mods from the standpoint of "prevention" rather than "advancement" because of stupid players ruining other player's fun. From antiboost to ghost mode to score caps and rally scoring to monster tweaking to player collision to spawn protection, blah blah blah, all mostly because players had to be locked down from screwing over others. If I didn't have to constantly tweak to close some found loophole I would have much more time to address the gameplay itself.

Our gametypes contain an equally high amount of stupid players and flaws, so it's funny that we look down on the other one.

Look at the average MH player and the average RDM player. They're both noobs! We can't really say the other is bad when we drift in the same swamp.

I am not going to say that I Don't want to win, but I don't care IF I lose either.
I DO Play mainly Just for FUN!!! (for REAL)
This is why I rarely play Golf - too many "serious" players!
I play Golf Strictly for FUN and not how good I can become. (and for the beer)

And I don't get angry if I lose or blow a stroke.
Same with UT!

(YEP this is the REAL reason)

Funny. When I play on My Funhouse, players JOIN!

Do you miss me? Then WHY in tarnation do you leave after 1 game? I've seen you more than several times and rarely do you stick around for more than 1 game. Is it bad timing on my part? Do I bore you that much or are you afraid that I AM catching on and might nuke your poor midget azz?

PS: Ditto - but I gotta say MEAT usually sticks around when I play with him (at least for a few games) - and so do I with him.
Again - I don't leave unless I really have to - and I say so before I do leave.

You should give the Co-op mod a try, it's a sort of MH but there are no crappy maps, no bunny track, no health regeneration, very slow ammo regen and monsters spawning from nowhere and backstabbing you. Oh and player are forced to cooperate due to the scarcity of health and ammo packs.

Hold on! Wait a sec folks. You mean my MEAT ban isn't working on {CG}? That can't be right. I have not seen MEAT on {CG} in over a year at least. I thought is was still well in effect back from 2005. WTH? Are you serious MEAT? You can play on {CG} at will?

Hehehehe...I love you Hermskii...I really do.
I could write an essay on how much I respect you.
And gopo I consider you a friend as well....ditto on the respect...nothing but.
As for UT99:
40% of the stuff I do and say here at the HOH is basically for show.
In person/my professional life I'm not an arrogant person. I am probably the
nicest, most easy going and most considerate person you will ever meet.
I turned 50 years old last January and I still have my hair...that's easy going...lol
But when I play Redeemer my evil twin has a tendency to show its head.
And my evil twin (even though he can be an azzhole) also has a heart.
I've mastered the game of redeemer and I really have nothing to prove.
Truth is you can't beat me at this game.
And that in itself is a curse.
No one likes losing....
So most game I play I never finish.
I actually leave so others won't leave.
Again...I'm not being arrogant...I'm just speaking the truth.
But at the same time I want to help others and if anyone asks...I will help.
(In fact, today I showed some newbie a secret that most regulars have no clue about.)
All you have to do is ask and that person did...lol

My point is... If you're going to play our servers and frequent the HOH...lets help each other.
Lets better each other.

But at the same time...if you don't want to get better...I Will Make You BLEED !!!
