You get to learn so much off of a person, see what their meanings are and yours too. If there's a jerk who's talking, it's fun to out-think and out-smart him because most of the rude people are idiots. Not to mention, it's very relaxing to just chat. That's one of my favorite things to do when I play an online game. Find a nice hiding spot or cool location, then sit down, F5 somebody or just talk. Great for being lazy!

Playing the game is where the fun is at, but talking is where lots of the fun is at as well!
Don't discourage it, go with it.

Yeah, I'm not much of a chattier while in the game.
I leave that for noobs that can't play.
Besides there are other avenues for that.
However if someone needed help sure I'll talk it up.
I'm all about helping and improving others.
But if you get four or five players in a game and two want to talk...beat it.
It's a gaming site not a "well what do you have for lunch" type server.
Then again some servers/mods/people play differently and have different agendas.
Especially games/mods that are repetitious, yeah I can see a conversation starting.
But people conversing on my server...not on my watch...
