Re: Virus on UT GOTY CD
How can you hear it that much? You have 12-13 seconds in which to press the Esc key before it starts speaking.

Ya really - I hit my ESC key in 1.2 seconds after loading lol - that sht's loud too sometimes if your volume was turned up previously.

Re: Virus on UT GOTY CD
Why not change a line in the first paragraph of your UT.ini file and you'll never hear it again?
This is probably what you have:
Protocol=unreal
ProtocolDescription=Unreal Protocol
Name=Player
Map=Index.unr
LocalMap=CityIntro.unr
Just change it to this:
Protocol=unreal
ProtocolDescription=Unreal Protocol
Name=Player
Map=Index.unr
LocalMap=UT-Logo-Map.unr

Yes, do all that (5 sec of pasting, 1 time only, which will last you a lifetime) instead of hitting the ESC key EVERYTIME.ShadowOfDeath wrote:Do all that instead of hittin ESC key ....Meat's on a techie tangent lol - it's all good
Now I'll let you decide which is faster and which one makes sense...
And no I am not a techie..I'm a simplest...and this is simple...
Back on topic....?

Re: Virus on UT GOTY CD
Either way is good. I too have mine load an image so it doesn't start the story. Loud is true too if you let the story run too long.

Thank you Meat. I did as you stated except it was the UnrealTournament.ini file. I am sure you just shortened it to UT.ini but I first tried to look for a file named UT.ini and I did not have one.
Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?
