I went onto CG last night and had a look at the latest(?) version of DM-Cube. (Cube 3)
It looks like a mapping exercise gone wrong, as far as redeemer arena is concerned. Sorry mapper, but there it is.

I was happy to see that Vocant survived the cull, but really missed running around telefragging the bots in Beholden and Dark City, etc.

Herm, have you forgotten that we used to go to Nali City and other places that rated UT99 maps and would download all of the maps rated 7 or better? We play tested so many. Isn't that why certain maps were so popular on CG? Because we had already culled out the ones unsuitable for redeemer arena, and then you chose the best of the best for your server of the ones that were left over?

Yeah, that was pretty much what we did Nameless. I can't even imagine all of the free time I must have had back then and downloading all of it over a 56k connection as well I suspect. No, I think I had high speed back then like 1000 down and 300 up is what I started the server on after 56k failed miserably.

thatjust reminded me I said I would put back all of the maps so I just did it.

No problem :)
I agree it's not good for redeemer at all. It was originally made for DM. NOT that that makes it a great DM map either lol. Let's see... if I check the records, I made it almost 9 years ago! Yep, I consider that map a building block of experience. Glad u find a bit of enjoyment from it Hook.

There are a few others of my maps on there that also don't suit redeemer. Herm if they don't fit the bill, just take 'em out, no point having them in there if they don't get played.

They do get played often but I had just put them on before I ran the reports. The reports were of years of playing.

Well thanks for putting them back Herm. I see there are some new maps in the mix too. I had look at two of them the other night. I forget their names. One was too big imo, but Meat would or probably does have it on his server. The other was small and vicious. Mahatma would have thrived in there.
