Thanks a bunch Herm!

My oldest, Boose, finally got to see what it's like to play UT99 online last weekend. We went to the MHM server and had lots of fun! We look forward to stopping by again soon!

Thanks again Herm!

Indeed Hook! I agree. Feedback is always good, even if it is negative. Feed me babes. Feed me! Just keep the negative out of it. Thanks! Just kidding. Give me what you think so I can make the adjustment. CYA!

I ran into a Boose over at my server. Friendly enough.
Was showing him some of the ropes until it got crowded.
He is always welcome back anytime.

Yep, he plays a lot right now. Nice to see regular type players on the servers.

Boose is around usually every other weekend and until I think he's old enough he's going to be limited to CG's and MHM. This is primarily due to Herm having the language filters.
He had a real fun time the other weekend and I know he's looking forward to more of the same real soon.

What type of language filter are you running Herm?
All I have is Boden and I can set what words need to be blocked.
But if there is something better.....

Keep it clean

Post by Hermskii » Thu Apr 03, 2008 10:54 pm

I use the Boden Toys mod and part of that mod is "Keep it Clean". I type in the word or name I don't want them to use and I type the word or words I want it replaced with. Go on to CG and type in a cuss message and watch what it does. Log in using a cuss name and watch what it does. Cuss several times and see what it does. CG and MHM are designed to be family fun / family safe servers. I built them the way I did with the rules I have so my own cousins and kids could play on them. I can still set it to kick or ban based on cussing but I haven't used that for a long time. Yes, there are still some ways around my mod to cuss but when I catch peeps getting around my system I then ban them because I know immediately that they knew what they were doing and accepted the risk of getting banned.
