Name Calling

Names/tags/skins/avatars/sigs can tell a lot about a person.
And what a great topic for a thread thanks to Hermskii.
So...does anyone else want to confess there chosen identities?

I have had this handle "Hook" for about 38 or so years now!
(started with the CB craze back circa 1970 - I needed an easy to understand over the airwaves handle - that was my handle then & still is)
Also, an ancestor of mine was a notorious Pirate - for real - and I have his last name!

I didn't want to use his name as it is my real name so I came up with a ficticious pirate's name - Hook!

How I got mine name was from Guy I use work with.I couldn't think of name. I was use CNK.So He didn't like it so He knew I like Scifi and Japanese Anime. In stand use plain Scifi. I think we spell it four different way.

Actually a few years ago I use to work with a guy we called MEAT. He jokingly threw out the phrase "meat whistle" which I shortened to MEAT and funny enough became his nickname....mainly because he was a new employee and inexperience in his new position and also he was a monster of a guy somewhat like a side of beef. Plus he was the nicest guy in the world but at the same time you didn't want to get on his bad side.....so in tribute to him I use the name MEAT.
As for the name of my server it came from a drunk buddy who has played before.
And my sig and avatar are self explanatory.

When first starting UT so many years ago now .....sigh... I went by Aragorn at first on CG's as LOTR was my favorite read , then went to Trigon which referred to a style of CNC metal lathe insert that I used ( 3 corners on each insert) and then after deciding to change careers and go back to school at 41 !! and going to culinary school , brutha Nautmax dubbed me the Iron Chef and so it remains !
