Oh yes.

I've been wanting to do a portal import for a long time. This will be half a normal(ish) mh map and the second half is going to be all Black Mesa and Aperture Science. It's taking so long because converting the assets out of Valve and into UeD is quite time consuming.

Once known as MH-Contamination is now renamed to MH-{MHM}-HELL, the newest screenshots:

Read the Posts about Naming Maps - "MH-{MHM}-HELL" the way it is here will give problems in MapVote - using parenthesis and dashes "-" etc.

Ah.

Between you and me, you might annoy a bunch of people if the map has any spam in it. That is, most of us are against spam so any "{MHM}" map featuring it will cause shockwaves.

As I said, nice colours though :lol:

Yeah, Hook is BIGTIME right. UT naming conventions should go like this sort of and I'm ready to write up a huge article on this as well and will place it in the FAQs section or something.

Gametype in caps. Example MH
then a hyphen. Example: MH-
Then the name of the map starting with a capital letter Example: MH-Hell
Then add whatever you want but if using many wods in the name cap the first letter of each of the words. Example: MH-HellYeahThisMapRules.
Then add a version number if a remake Example: MH-HellYeahThisMapRulesVer.2

So yours should look something like this: MH-Hell{MHM}

I'm with Hook and Hermskii, I can't stand bad named maps. BTW the preview screenies of your map look good. :wink:

Oh right, This is the case... if you dont know what you are doing, however its pretty easy to get past if u know what ur doing ;) hehe

And dont worry, this map wont be spammy, in fact it will be more unrealish style, minimal monster factories :)

Just to let people know this map is still happening, i just dont really get much time anymore but im getting the ued out every now and then when i have the spare hour or two, havent done too much as of yet, in fact still trying to get some annoying buggy lensflares fixed, some appear but some done, screws up the effect of the map, but i'll have something soon! :)

calling all mappers, this is now the MH-Hell Portal project
What i want to do is get ALL the mappers here to create a small portion of a map, i will then impliment it into the MH-Hell Portal system.

What i hope to accomplish by this is to bring more people to knowing MHM, hopefully getting our servers more populated and our forums more populated.

Bring something back to the MHM community, get your Unreal Editor out, learn it, have a place around, submit ur minimap to me and i'll make a portal with ur name on it.

This is NOT a competition, i couldnt care whether u can only design cubes, and hardly even texturise, just have a play with the editor, i'll fix what people send me to actually be playable if its difficult.

so come on, even if u never done it before, get ur unreal editor out and have a mess around with some functions and share what you can do with the rest of MHM and the Monster Hunt Community!
