Description:

A normal MH map with some nice lighting in a spacy evironment. Not very much detailed as Crystalmine3 but just big fat action!

It worked for me when I downloaded it but my PC cratered and I have not put it on my server yet I don't think. I do recall copying the file to my new desktop in my things to do folder or check to see if I have done them.

This is a very good map which I enjoyed playing, as did my bots. It doesn't have great bot pathing so when I played with them I had to have them all cover me in order to keep proceeding through. Without that, they only left the starting rooms if a monster happened to peek around the corner from the entrance hallway.

Good monsters, mostly using atypical attacks. Skaarj that fire accelerated gasbag bursts, tentacles with enhanced dispersion blasts, and a few other things like that.

How'd I play?
Initially I let 5 bots have a go at it, then when I saw the bot pathing dealio (so few folks plan for bots) I stepped in. Started us with Wull Weapons and Excessive Time, to regenrate health & ammo (my standard monsterhunt setup). After that, cuz the number of monsters and the strngth of their attacks was a bit much, I opted for neither of those and went in with Nali Weapons 2...

...additionally, the Stop Your Fighting mutator so the monsters would work as a team rather than kill each other.

The music is decent although it seems more set for a Dungeons & Dragons type place than Unreal.

There's a teleport point in the starting area that does nothing until you progress further into the game.

The lighting in the hallways is problematic. Unless you're using a sniper rifle zoomed in, it's far too bright to see any of the monsters at a distance. Even fairly close up you almost can't tell where they are other than by tracking the incoming attacks.

Like I said, a good map and a challenging one. Just the bot pathing and that hall lighting thing were a wee bit annoying. I'd also likely not play it again with the music on.

Allright, thanks for the review EvilGrins. That's why I asked for some feedback.
I made the coronas too big, perhaps I did not pay much attention to the botpath(ing).
Well about the music, I really thought this was the perfect music that fits this spacy, action theme as in my map.
But everyone likes different music. Perhaps I can fix these bug in a version 1.2 version.

I am glad you liked the map and that you are honest.
Any other comments, anyone?
Please tell me, so I can improve my maps. :wink:

Don't worry too much about the music, that's just my personal taste. For example, I've collected practically every version of the HallOfGiants maps and the largest, which I do love, has music I can't stand. Still, I keep the map.

I'm installing this on {MHM} right now. I have not played it yet. I don't care about the music so long as it isn't totally awful. I play with Coronas off and always have. I like being able to see who and what is hiding behind the lights. That is the only downgrade I do to video settings in game.

A teleportor that is there but doesn't work right now will bug me.

Call me crazy but I think this map is missing a file. Isn't it missing UTtech4.utx ??? I have downloaded and installed it seperately. We'll see.
