Why cant i find monster hunt dead city?

Actually, it may be a moot point. All the files I tried downloading from there don't appear to work.

Tried that first but even after that, tried various other things.

All the files show up as being corrupted, the compressed files cannot be opened.

Ahh yes... the ones marked with the @ - Assuming these are alien clan map modifications were showing corrupt as well. Scroll down to the MH- range and youll see the same maps without the @... these should work for you.. they did for me so I stopped messing with the @ marked files.

be careful of maps labeled with the Alien Clan @. They've modded these maps in such a way as to cause instability for the server. They are usually crammed with mad never ending monsters and God-Like weapons and the server can just literally Puke at any time. LoL :shock:

It was Malwarebytes that told me no. I run with a full version of it for safe internet cruising. I'm sure that what Sir Mandrake said is exactly why it blocked me. Still. I'll stay away for now. I did not even know Killerbee had a website.

Actually, I didn't touch the @'s. I tried some monster hunt maps, then assault. All of them keep coming up as invalid/unknown filetypes.

I downloaded one from that redirect - MH-Beta-Night_Wish-HardV1_HTD.unr.uz

Decompressed it...
Found the prerequisite files, Downloaded and Decompressed them....
Uploaded to the UT Server....
Recompressed and uploaded the package to the redirect server using RSC - Redirect Server Checker.....

Map Worked like a charm.

Since these files are on someone's redirect server for thier own UT server, these files are in .uz format. .uz is the compression format Unreal Tournament uses to send maps to clients quickly. Use ucc.exe located in your Unreal Tournament system directory to commpress maps and game files or to do the opposite.... Decompress. type ucc.exe /? to get a help listing of its commands you can use.

another way is to use a 3rd party Utility... I liek to use Redirect Server Checker.

Run it and go to extras... its got a batch decompress option.

Hm, interesting. I already smelt that @ is good for nothing. A map containing a mutator can break other mutator loaded in a server. So called maps with integrated mutators were removed a few months ago from server.

That's true of any mutator combination, I know a few weapons mutators that don't work well together. Also MonsterSpawn doesn't work well with any monsters that're already on the map as when it switches the current set it spawned... it takes all the monsters on a map off along with those.

Yep, thats why I mentioned to becareful of those with @ .. some are wild and fun but the server might not play well.
