Even with my favorite superweapon (DeemerFireworks) and 32 bots, it takes about 30 minutes just to kill all the beasties in the 1st room. That's just ridiculous...

...also, the Deemer is unrealiable. The nature of the mutator is that it pops up randomly on the map, though always in whatever that spot is when it respawns, so it's not always in the first room when gamplay begins.

The Ultima Protos is the big boy of the NaliWeapons IIx package. It hits harder than the nukes that mutator provides and it's devestating. Even on the team of someone who uses it the thing can still kill you. Not in the initial blast but the after effects of the shot go on for like a full minute and will hurl everybody all over the place.

You get slammed against the walls more than a few times, way up high and down low, and that will kill you.

I've summoned the Ultima Protos into this map a few times before, really scary when a bot grabs it cuz with any health/ammo regenerator you can shoot it a lot if you don't get killed after the 1st shot. Anyway, the point is there's a couple monsters on this map that can survive being hit with it twice so if you know the weapon you can see why I'd want it.

Ultima Protos takes between 5 to 10 minutes to repawn, which is perfect. Ideally if I were to place it I'd out it close to the backwall where the players start, between the shieldbelts and the weapons...

...but, as mentioned previously, I've no clue how to edit a map.

I actually tried and was at a loss how to even put it on the map.

Anybody wanna help me out here?

Working on it now, not sure if it can be done with just that one weapon, this would make the map over 35 megs to include the nali weapons into it I assume but I am playing around with it.

You might not need to add the entire thing. If the person hosting the map already has Nali Weapons IIx on their system then the map wouldn't need the entire weapons package installed on it...right?

My only preoccupation of late is still trying to figure out why ut99 functions differently under Unreal Anthology. The monsters, outside of Monster Hunt, ignore the bots in all the other gametypes...and I can't figure out why.

I have UT GOTY and the monsters do still ignore bots.
I took a look at the UnrealTournament.ini settings and found this:

Actually, all bNoMonsters=True will do is exclude any Monsters from appearing in maps you play.
In my game bNoMonsters was defaulted to True.
I played on a server that had animals (aka monsters) in it when I first had UT and it took me a while to figure out why I could only play with them in maps in the server, but not off line.
There wasn't much info out there and most every expert was stumped.
I finally figured it out in the ini file.
That is why I know this LOL. :lol:

I'm familiar with that. When ut99 was first released that was automatically set to True. At that setting no monsters were allowed in the game, has to be on false to get monsters.

I've got GOTY too. The Unreal Anthology version is also GOTY...and thus the mystery continues.
