Training maps...

Post by Hermskii » Tue Sep 06, 2011 9:12 pm

For the record, I have begun a few training maps. This is an old concept I came up with many moons ago and it nevercame into being. Now it is on the way and that is all I can tell you for now. I'll also say that each map will have an entire website section dedicated to them along with the download and much more information. Currently I'm in the process with several others to make maps for both MH and for and Redeemer Arena.

As mentioned, this has been on the back burner for several years but I now have the right team togther to get it done. Thanks to them for their time and effort.

Y'know how when you picks items there's a lil' message like "You've got the chainsaw" or something like that? I've noted on a number of servers that do redeemer wars they have the chest armor, why I dunno.

You should make a message pop up when someone grabs the armor. Something like "This will not save you from redeemers".

Just my .25¢

Hahahaha! That is good EG. I like to scream that at HOOK's server when I pick it up. I always think that's funny. I do the same when I pick up a deemer.

Hmmmm, maybe I can change it to that LOL
I'll leave in the armor just to remind us that it wont help. LOL

I've played on a few redeemer match servers and almost everytime I pick up an armor, just to also see if anyone will take the time to type or if it's just bots, I stop and ask "Why is there even armor here? It's not like it can save me!"

Fave response so far: "It's there for false hope."

Actually, it CAN save your butt at times.
It may mean the difference of death or not if you get hit with the fringe area of a shock wave with only minor damage happening.
The Armor just may be enough to keep you alive.

I've got this one DOM map where there's a vest designed for keeping you alive if you fall in one of the maps many firepits. As I often play DOM with the combo·instagib, I made another little discovery...

...it also protects you from getting instagibbed.

Especially for redeemer games, you should really have a vest/armor/shield/something that can save you from at least one direct redeemer hit.
