Also, you could just change the map. Simply rename the file DM after deleting the CTF.

You cannot do that to a CTF map, changing the name to DM will not work. you will still have flags and bot pathing will be set to CTF among other things.

Actually, no they won't. I've done this with plenty of maps.

In CTF flags appear where they're designed to but outside of the gametype, no flags.

Both pathing isn't an issue. Least it hasn't been so far.

Hmm. okay, didn't know that, i did add a few CTF funnels to the CTF section of mapvote, they play nicely

One thing here...
The bot pathing will still be set up as CTF.
But this is usually Not a problem.

You will want to change the playerstarts so they do not only let red or blue or whatever start there at each base.
Sprinkle a few around elsewhere in the map too.
Some Triggers or defensepoints MAY need altering or getting rid of if not OK with a DM situation.
Etc.
