I'm kind of at a stand still.
Though i was thinking about this yesterday.


Current status:

2 mh paths are complete except for minor tweaks , needs lighting and monsters added

1 last MH path not even started : Dont know how to implement the big elevator idea.

1 BT path , halfway built "i want this to be for unlocking weapon special and for fun of BTers.

There will only be 4 paths to go so i guess map is about half way there.
I seriously don't have time right now to work on it.
Is anyone interested in a possible joint effort to complete this map?
One last path is still completely at the drawing board as ideas go.
And the bunny track section needs to be built/completed. Maybe redone completely. Anyone want to have a go?

Seriously, That is where the map is at.
It's about half way done. When it is done it will crazy nice.

The lighting is the most time consuming thing left to do. But it is also the most important of the whole process. I just don't see myself touching ED again all summer. Got to much good stuff going on in my life right now to waste my time indoors in front of a computer. 8)

If someone wants to do the 1 last monster path and the BT section, Then i will make time for it and finish the lighting,sound,monsters.
Other wise it is on hold for a while.
Crap, maybe i will take a look at it tonight , I'm not doing anything tonight.
If anyone is interested in helping though please post.

Update,

I finished more of the lighting ,
and i have half the last path planned out and built.
Also have about a fourth of the BT done , - its beautiful looking imho.

More to come. . . :P

So i Have been sick , home from work today.
I decided to role one up and start working on the map again.
Much was finished.
Some new ideas spawned.
Here are some screen shots.

wow looks amazing , i love the original unreal style theme and the bt looks like the andromeda BT aliitle wich is good

I used mostly all OE textures.
This map will consist of a .unr file and thats it.
The map is a good balance of different kinds of monster hunting imo.

That's the way to do it - use OE textures! :wink:
But even if you don't use OE textures, you can still incorporate the custom textures right into the unr file so you won't have to include any custom packages!
I did that with my maps.
One or two of my tutorials I posted here tell how.
At Least one of them does for sure if I remember! (maybe 2) :lol:

This map looks beautiful, and i remember your old shots from some other post, those look great as well.
wish i was half that good lol, yes bt does look kind of like Andromeda but the idea is too unlock weapons right?

I have not decided what i will do with the BT yet.

In the main entry room you have four paths to go.
3 MH paths - you finish one to unlock the next?
Or should i have all three open so you can go any way you want like in Haunted??

The fourth path is a BT section that i hope will take just as long as the three paths to complete. I will also be putting some monsters in this section to slow the bt down a little.
I was thinking that there could be a weapon at the end but i want it only available at the last boss, so there is no cheaty advantage when only one player has a bad ass gun through out the map.
I also want the bt to be easy enough for newbs to make it.

Does anyone have any cool ideas that have not been mentioned?

hmm bout the bt section, instead of making one badass weapon
why not make it unlock some good weapons along the way ie rocket launcher, and so on, and then at the end of the bt make some kind of door that will only open once you trigger something near the last boss, in that door or room make the bad ass weapon.

also maybe unlock shield belts or something too

but still give some good weapons at the begining ie like flak so that in case there arent good bt'ers, they can still complete the map.
