hahaha. Yeah, Me and all of my bots kept falling to their deaths on my first map. It stopped my map making on the spot!

LoL, yeah if i can get over the intimidating look of the editor and learn its features I think I can really get into it. I really just need to be run thru some basics and Ill be good to go.

Elemental took a couple hours of his time last night to get me started into the World of UT mapping. Hes an awsome teacher! With his help I had a custom (yet very simple) playable map with lighting, start point and a Monster... and guess what Herm, I didnt fall through the map!

So thanks again Elemental for your time and patience

Yes, once you try it and do it correctly, mapping is really very simple!

Just remember to watch the Intersecting and De-Intersecting.

Many mappers mess up in this area and that can create a very bad map out of a good one!

Now go read a few of the basic tutorials here under the Mapping / UT Development Category!
They are numbered! - Any Questions about these, Let me know!

No problem mate, will spend some more time with ya today, i'll teach ya how to make ur map look good with lighting, trimming, and maybe a little 2d shape editing

since you seem to be rather good at retaining information to design stuff

Thanks Hook ,ill get to reading that stuff right away, looks like some good stuff there.

...and Elemental I failed to mention that Im a Semi-Pro graphic artist with a few years experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark.. etc. So I'll no doubt be my own worst critic as I dive into this LOL
