MH-Alarm_fixV3
I'm thinking about taking this map out of the cycle. Why? Because I keep getting reports that the "sky" file refuses to download. I have fixed this problem a hundred times and it keeps coming back. Have any of you ever had problems getting files?

Better Idea
OK how about this instead. I'm no mapper but I do know that it is somewhere in the map file where it calls for additional files if needed. I know the the Map called "Alarm_FixV3" calls for a file named "sky". What I really need to know is exactly what syntax does it use in the map when it calls it meaning is it "SKY", "sky", "Sky", "SKy", "sKY", "sKy" well, you get the point. You know, it would be real nice to know if and if so how,it calles that files extension. You know like does it call for the file "Sky.utx" or "Sky.UTX"
It would be real nice if somebody could easily tell me how to see for myself too. Thanks. Later!

i opened the map in the editor . looks like it dont need a Sky package for what i see . maybe its just a mismatch or version problem about the original SkyBox.utx from UT . strange thing .
in my Texture folder , i have a Sky.utx , but its not used in AlarmfixV3 .
hmm maybe try to remove that Sky.utx , its possible it makes conflicts with the SkyBox.utx ( the conflict is possibly the textures name itself inside the packages , maybe some texs of each pack have the same name or something )
that Sky.utx is from the Rune game i believe , same for Wood.utx .
dunno if they are really compatible with UT .

Thanks Derdak2rot but
Thanks but I have to disagree. I know it does call this particular sky.utx file. Try this. Remove sky.utx from the texture folder. Now try to start the map and see what file it says is missing. It will say can't start missing file "Sky.utx" I think. I'll try too. Later!

Answer
You and I have two different versions of this map. What is yours called exactly and how big is it? Mine is called what I have put in the name of this thread. Mine is 24mb big uncompressed. Where did you get your copy from? Idid the test you did and the map would not load and complained with an error that it was missing file "sky".

Thanks!
That will be the final answer I think. I assume it has whatever the fix is built into it then right? BTW Derdak2rot what I meant was that the version I had with all of the 6-7 files that were required with it equaled 24mb. I am going to drop the old version like a sack of potatos and just use this version that NR2000 mentioned. Thanks all.

Re: Where
Chico also have it on Excalibur... I didn't send him this version, so I don't have the zip file myself.Hermskii wrote:Where can I get this newer version of this map? I just hunted around a little for it and could not find it. I'm looking for MH-Alarm_SE .
