Hey Herm, do you remember when you tried something that randomly spawned monsters in the maps? What was it called?

They're trying an "add-on" over at Chico's server right now called "Monsters Strike Back". It randomly adds monsters to the maps too, but the playing experience seemed a bit different this time.

It was called Monster Spawn. Easy to use but hard to make people like. I loved it myself. It added up to about 20 monsters that I hand picked into a map. People complained so I made it go away. Wnat it back? I liked the surprise it added to maps.

Its a cool mod,
but it was stupid to have the monsters just spawn randomy in the map. Sometimes it sucked to fight monsters all over to catch up to everyone else.

But. . . . It adds monsters. . . The more the better?
Curiously how many monsters can be in a map before it gets laggy?

I'll keep a watch on the mod they're trying out at Chico's. I'll let you know how it works out. The main concern would be how and where the monsters spawn. Death Hunters spawning in the start room could be very nasty. :shock:
-Rather like the first version of Liandri Invasion that was released. That was evil. If the monsters came into the spawn room, you'd die upwards of 50X, or maybe even more, before you could even get started on the map. :?

I think it let you add up to 20 monsters at a time from up to 3 different lists of 20 monsters. Before the next set came in the 1st set would teleport out. I never had any trouble running the full 20

yeah,
but it still spawns them randomly in the map. thats not to kool.
