Boost/NoBoost

Okay.. I don't know if it's just me but the Boost/NoBoost mutator doesn't work. It needs fixing cause idiots keep shooting other players when doing BT parts.. This is very annoying. Please fix it, thanks.

The title says it all. Already fixed man. Hermskii logged on yesterday [8/29] and I told him about it. It's all good in the MHM land... for now. lol.

We addressed this question last night. Hermski fixed it. The boost/noboost is now working fully to its abilities.

Although the mod does not stop people from shooting you off an obstacle.
So i am thinking the mod is created to add extra boost to a game
and the off setting = normal default boost settings ?
Can you confirm this Herm?

As far as a solution to the lamers shooting people off problem , some answers are being worked on.
Check out some of the recent threads. :lol:


If it is the same person every time shooting you off then PM Herm or I with the name and the time you where playing. We will start watching to make sure there is no bad sportsmanship going on.

hm. I personally informed herm of something like this..
I logged onto MHM and my boost was already enabled, so i was getting shot down by freakin pistols.

Question:

I assume then than when I turned it on it turns it on for all. Are you saying that you still get shot/boosted even when you turn it back off?

Yes and no. When you turned it on yesterday [8/29], it was 'happy day' for all of us. However, we can't seem to turn it off when we type 'mutate noBoost.' This is not a complaint here, but we should have the option to turn it off and on when we want.

Correct, Jman. He is right Herm.
I got on UT, and like by default my player already had boosting enabled.
I couldn't turn it off either.

I also think that it should only be enabled when I TURN it on.

I confirmed that this is happening. I don't know why either. I will be setting it back to off as I was shot off obstacles way too often with it on. I'll try to get a better no boosting mod too. Anybody have one for me?

Why don't we use the BT mod? It has a config, .ini and i'm told it works good.

Make sure it works and I'll give it a shot. I suspect that it has to be written for MH somehow. That is why I haven't already tried it. I don't need trouble....only proven solutions. I have an thread asking for a no boost mod on UnrealAdmin forum now.

The UnrealAdmin forum is great. I haven't been there in a long time. I should pop back in and say hello.

Hopefully they will have a volunteer there to code one.

If i get board this weekend though i might try the BT mod and see if it works with MH. Ill start up a little test server on my extra box.

Anyone interested in testplay with me on the server?
We might not do this till like monday cause i got stuff planned this weekend.

As many of you have seen already, this mod is now in effect and I'm anxious to get others to make this the most player friendly MH server ever! Everyone needs to say thanks to The Watcher for what he has given us already.

I have tried desperatley to reach BIGI for over a month now and he isn't available. Maybe The Watcher can write up a complete do it all mod that includes all the BIGI stuff plaus all the things his mods do that the BIGI mod doesn't do. I'd rather run one mod than 6 or 7. Later!

Hmm I hope he does not disappear like other mod maker :/ . I can modify the bigi mod if this is necessary. I have look at the source and there is some nice method in there. Or maybe I can make a mutator with all extra option so it can function on other monsterhunt server. I will send you a email hermskii.
