Disapearing Projectiles/Monsters

hey ive been getting this problem, its strange 1 min its fine then i start shooting things and my projectiles go invisible and bullet holes and blood on monsters then eventually monster vanish and i see my self getting raped by invisible monsters, i thought it might be a D3D problem so i downloaded a advanced OpenGL driver but the problem is still happening anyone have any ideas why this happens? its really anoying lol

Hmm sry i dont know anything, but sometimes monsters disappear on me too, but not as bad as you describe it.

I too have had the monsters disappear for a while and then reappear. Yes, you are right that you keep taking damge while they are gone. It usually happens when tons of folks are playing or when lots of ammo is being fired. I think it's packet loss but some maps always seem to do it to me and others don't. Is it a certain map or maps that it happens to you? Does it happen in offline practice sessions?

That used to happen to me when my ping was really high. Sounds like some packet loss.

Next time it happens hit F1 see what your ping is.
Anything over 200 is kinda bad and might explain it.

packet loss is most likely the problem anyway i have 2 installations of UT so ill just switch to the next 1 and find out, its an anoying problem a few times ive had highest score in the server and had to reconnect cos i cant see wtf's goin on lol

EDIT : Just went on MHM and im getting 20% packet loss with the red icon showing up every 5 seconds, god i hate our internet connection its so crap, all cos the idiots wont put modern lines in where we live so were all forced to live with 56kb/s bullcrap

well ok hellfire so wen u actually find somthing u can download at 24mb/s take a screenshot and tell me oh and u probly sharing that 24mb/s with about 20 other ppl
