Is it just me?
I noticed yesterday that even though I have it set to log me in automatically each time, that I am having to log in. I putin my name and password and select to remember it and log in. Then I get out and relaunch the forum and it makes me sign in again. Is this only happening to me?

Re: Is it just me?
Naw! I'm always logged in... But I think I may know the problem.
On my laptop (I always use the really good computer for this), everytime I exit windows explorer (or whatever you use) it deletes the places I visited and the browsing and all passwords and things like that. So whenever I go back to some place I check [Log me in when I visit this site], I have to relog me in. So it happens. Although it's not happening on this computer because that setting is turned off.

I will either save you or kill you, convince me otherwise.

Re: Is it just me?
Yeah, that feature is very IFFY at best.
It works for me SOME of the time.
Same for others!

I wouldn't doubt if that's a new Micro$lop security "patch" protecting us from ourselves.

Like I said - it is "Iffy" - works SOME times and Not Other times.
Also from comp to comp I noticed - so it may be a computer setting and not the forum's.

Re: Is it just me?
Are you talking about Internet Exploder's settings?
That would be Tools | Internet Options | Content | Auto Complete Settings.
If not, I look forward to your response.

Re: Is it just me?
Yep, that was it Fuzz. It is now remembering me again and I don't have to login each time. Odd. That had never just happened to me before like that.

Re: Is it just me?
That happened with me too before which is why I suggested maybe that was the issue, and turns out it was.

Actually, I do also - BUT the same problem exists on FireFox also.DARKMATTER wrote:I avoid all internet explorer problems by using firefox .........

Re: Is it just me?
I have used "Fire Fox" before, but I prefer "Internet Explorer" because thats the one that's always been out and we all know how to use it.

Re: Is it just me?
I don't think it's a browser-related problem, since it doesn't seem to work regardless of the browser you're using. As soon as you log out and revisit the forum you'll need to manually log in. I've never noticed this before cause I use the manual log in each time I need to post something.
P.S. I have enabled both cookies and 3rd party cookies and still nothing has happened. I guess the service is broken.

Re: Is it just me?
It turned out thateven after I turned on the auto complete that it still didn't work. I finally disabled a bunch of stuff and it started working again. Here is all I did:
In Internet Explorer I went up to the "Tools" in the file menu and selected it to get the drop down.
Then I selected "Internet Options" option.
That open up a Internet Explorer window of options.
I selected the "Advanced" tab.
On the bottom of that I selected the "Reset..." button.
I put a check in the "Delete Personal Settings" box and then clicked the "Reset" button.
I closed all of that up including Internet Explorer.
I restarted Internet Explorer and came back to the forum where I logged in making sure to put a check in the "Remember" box.
Doing this made some of my tool bars disappear so I went back up to the file menu and selected the "View" option. Then I selected the toolbars option and clicked to activate each toolbar I wanted back. They came back and I lived happily ever after! The end.
