Finally!

Post by Hermskii » Fri Jul 14, 2006 11:13 pm

I finally figured out the issue I was having with my server(s) failing to restart after after a power failure. I thought I set something wrong in the BIOS. I was wrong. Tonight after another power failure due to weather the server(s) failed to reboot properly again. I shut it down and waited a few hours as usual hoping it would boot back up after I turned it on. It booted up again alright but...

It booted but the unplugged network connection error kept popping up then went away and then popped up again and went away again over and over. I changed the NIC card out and have rebooted several times without any issue. I had a bad network card!

The bad card is replaced again for about the 3rd time in 4 years. I'm happy now and next year I'll suspect the NIC card first! Let me know if you notice a difference that is negative to your usual gaming experience here. Later!
~Peace~
