Happy Thanksgiving All...
I know it is a couple days early but I just can't wait any longer. I am so grateful for so many things this year. While life has it's way of kicking people in the teeth a little too often, this year I can still easily focus more on the things I'm grateful for.
I'm not going to name everything I'm grateful for here but I'll share a little personal information about some things. When I was a kid, I tried to write the perfect prayer. I basically said all of the standard stuff like being thankful for my parents and food and shelter and all of that. I also included praying for the sick to be healed and the blind to see the deaf to hear and the hungry to be fed and the thirsty to drink etc etc etc.
I have made plenty of deals with God over the years that if he just got me through trying times I would do better at practicing my faith of Catholicism and just be a better neighbor to all who deserve it and even many who don't. Well God certainly held up his part of the deal and I am finally finding my way back to the church and beginning to hold up my end of the deal.
Now when I pray it starts with a given that I mention and that is I say to God to please except my perfect prayer once again which has been edited and added to over the years to include everything else I have thought of to pray for over my lifetime. I then say thanks to God for "My Life, My Wife and My Children" separately. Then I go on to give a shout out to all of my family and friends who passed on before me especially noting my mother. After that I focus on everything I'm grateful for more than usual during the last week or so. Lastly, I try to pray for those around me that need it or have asked me to pray for them and I give the Lord a big thanks for everything good in my life and even the bad things that I don't understand yet why they happened to me but will hopefully be revealed to me later in life as actually being a blessing in disguise.
I want you all to know that you all are included in my prayers too as people I am grateful for to have in my life. Like it or not, I'm praying for you. Yes, even for those in my life unlike you folks who have disappointed me at times. It is what Jesus wants of me. So there you have it folks; a little glimpse into my mind. I hope you enjoyed the show! Have a safe, loving and happy Thanksgiving all!

Happy Thanksgiving people.
Continue on a little with what Hermskii shared with us. I know there are times when you need to "Count your blessings, name them one by one; Count your blessings, see what God hath done; Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done."
I hope that you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving and to those that do not celebrate Thanksgiving.....it is not a bad idea to share in it. You don't need an official holiday to be thankful.

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?
