6 hours later...

Post by Hermskii » Sun Sep 09, 2007 2:30 am

Pretty much all of Houston under the Comcast high speed internet connection program was off-line today between about 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. 6 hours later the server is up again. I'm shocked my IP didn't change too. Thank God!

Later!

Yep. So you'll know, Comcast came in to Houston a few months ago and replaced Time Warner completely. All we see now is commercials saying how much better it will be compared to the old Time Warner. I have to admit that my upload speed has more than doubled. I also have to admit that they weren't here even 3 months yet and are already planning to raise our rates 6%. Bummer but to me it is still worth it. So there you have it Kort. Time Warner is gone and has been completely bought out or replaced here in Houston by Comcast.

I hope they don't come here. I dont want to pay more. Anything more then 50 a month is ridiculus.

I wish I could put up a server! :(
For some reason, My system/modem will not let it out on the net.
I used to do it all the time with Dial-Up years ago!
I now have Frontiernet DSL that works great except for the UT server part.
I will still be looking into this when time permits though.

I will most likely have one up for everyone to play on while Herms is down.
The server will pretty much be a duplicate of MHM from about a year ago. Most of the maps we have now will be Playable. Same settings and everything.
You all will just have to do without the new keen anti-lamer mods until Herms is back up. Because frankly i am to lazy to install them on a temporary server.
The server will be called MonsterHuntMayhem [TMP-SRVR]
or something like that.

When ever Herm decides to rebuild the MHM box i will post the server name and address.

I think if i have the time i will add in a little easter egg of some kind in the mix. Some kind of server-side mod or something.
we will see.
