My love of all things HallOfGiants explains why I particularly enjoyed this double sized one with a different & brighter lighting pattern...

...but I do have 2 problems with it.

1) The music is really not good. Or, better to say, it'd probably work better on a different map.

2) On one side of the map, the ground tubes don't allow anyone inside of it.

The tubes are one of the best parts of all the HallOfGiants maps. If you're not familiar, you step in and it sends you at hyper·velocity to another part of the map. Given this series of maps all have low gravity, when you get shot out of the tube you have a lot of options.

I'd like, whoever decides to take this task on, to fix the tubes that don't work. Also, to switch the music the map uses with the .umx file I'm attaching to this post.

I did not know how to fix the tube, so maybe your supposed to enter from the tops on those, I did add the music as requested. Use the Fix version

Doesn't work that way. You can't enter the tops of any of the tubes. If you did you'd probably die given how little room there is at the ground tube station. The whole point is to get in and get launched into high the air.

Hmmmm, maybe edit in a little sign on the broken ones? Out of Order :mrgreen:

I have a question. The maps you edit for me, why aren't you changing the map pic? Like for this map:

You could have added "music edited my KillaKeller" or something like that. For this map and the others.

Okay, when I saw you'd attached MH-Brutes][ I didn't realize it was the Skaarj version I asked for. Should really rename that, both the map and the pic it displays on the playlist.

Proble is it still have various classes of brutes in it, which unless you've got a mutator to stop that, the brutes and the skaarj fight each other more than anybody else.

It really needs to only have one class of monster on it.

Also, ditch the ultima protoses (protosi?) I just wanted those for the Brutes version. Maybe if we make another one with Warlords or something bigger those guns'd be okay but I think standard weaponry can handle skaarj.

Thing I like about having Krall or Skaarj in the map instead of brutes is they can actually leap over the trench and fight players in their own base if they get close enough. The UltimaProtoses (protosi?) makes that a bit tricky what with the mass extinctions...

Current issue:

A lot of the Skaarj, specifically only the berserkers, tend to clumb a up a lot and look distorted most of the time:

I think this may be due to the brutes, behemoths, and lesser brutes that are still on the map. They take up a lot of memory and they're hard to get around. The skaarj keep forming into clumps and not moving.

A lot of the time when they are moving, they're not. They're in a frozen running position and they are sliding across the ground. Basically, no animation.

1.) I don't need to be taking credit for a small edit in the map, therefore I kept the name the same and did not change the map screenshot

2.) which tubes are you referinging to? the vertical tubes all seem to work fine with plenty of room on the bottom to be shot straight up in the air, the only issue I saw was by the Shock rifle tubes(placed a shock so I could tell which tube was messed up) those you can't seem to enter and I have no idea why.

3.) I"ll fix the brute map and take out brutes completely and rename with DM-Skaarj.

Have you tried playing the map? It helps to actually walk into them to see what I mean.

On either side of the center point, there are two stations like the one in that pic there. The pulsing pattern on the inside shows which way the tube is supposed to fling you. On one side of the map, you can't get inside the tubes...which is the side I'd like fixed.

I did try it lol, I was able to get into all tubes, the problem was that the tubes didn't shoot you out where there supposed to ( imarked the 2 that didn't work over by the shock rifle)

Well, yeah. Get in the opening sure. When I say in I mean in the actual tube. Those two by the shock rifle is doesn't let you in so much as it just shoves you backwards, into the other tube which knocks you straight up.

As to MH-Skaarj][, I think you should still change that pic for the map cuz this just doesn't look right:

Okay, removing the brutes didn't get rid of the warping effect on some of the Skaarj but I think I see a way around it. You chose SkaarjBerserkers (only ones getting warped) SkaarjAssassins & IceSkaarj. It might work better if you went with SkaarjLords, IceSkaarj, & SkaarjWarriors...

...and not just cuz I think the good ol' green SkaarjWarriors have largely been neglected in MonsterHunt.

Much as I hate to ask this, put the UltimaProtos back into the map in the two gun turrets. I love how this plays out but I didn't take into consideration how fast the Skaarj would overrun the base. Basically, less than a minute and players are neck deep in Skaarj.

Still would like you to make MH-Krall][ but without the UltimaProtos. At least not in the first draft.
