Re: MH-Monsters][ map requests
Among the odd creatures the original monsters that come with ut99 provides are the blobs.
They come in 2 forms: bloblets & ParentBlobs.
Bloblets sit around and do nothing. They have about 120 health, an acidic attack if motivated, and make a weird gurgling noise...but like I said, they don't move without motivation.
The ParentBlob is the motivation. They have 100 health, no body or form and are completely unkillable so far as I can tell. Hard to say as they're invisible and intangible. What they do is chase players & bots that get their attention...and everytime they pass a bloblet, it follows everywhere the ParentBlob goes. Basically, the Parentblob leads the kids to come eat you.
I made a map, didn't keep it long, of multiple bloblets and just a few Parentblobs. Didn't go very well and, what's worse, the few remaining bloblets after the initial slaughter became unkillable.
On an odd note, the bots could tell where the ParentBlobs were. They were constantly chasing them and trying to kill them with no luck. I targetted superweapons on their attack positions but it didn't seem to help.
I might just make the map again just for the sheer shake of having it.

for the sheer "shake" of having it? you need an edit button. Also, you just said they were from UT99. I thought someone else said they were from a different game entirely.

Like a lot of the beasts you can call up in ut99, they were probably in Unreal1 too.Hermskii wrote:for the sheer "shake" of having it? you need an edit button. Also, you just said they were from UT99. I thought someone else said they were from a different game entirely.

Well, I was doing some research into this...Hermskii wrote:I want that dragon too. Where did they get that from? I never saw it before.

...and I found a lenthy thread on Beyond Unreal about getting more pawns into UT from other games.
It's from something called Firestorm.

Re: MH-Monsters][ map requests
Went looking to find this thread to get the name of a monster on it I can't remember the name of...
...and while I did find it, it's name isn't in here.

Find it because that one is a must!
If you can't find the name just rename it to Buddy the fat hungry mad Beagle.

Re: MH-Monsters][ map requests
I've got feelers out to medor, who was initially stumped but I'm pretty sure he can find it.
