What exactly is spore?

I was goofing around, looking for something else, when I found this:

Checked the other vids that went with, seems like an AI beastie/digipet generator of some sort but I've never heard of it.

Spore came with versions of windows vista, you just make your own monsters and walk them around interact with other monsters.

Dunno about the walk around bit. All the creatures I've seen, they seem to be stuck in a circle.

spore is an old game i played for about an hour or 2. you start as a single cell and evolve up to the point of space travel. its a pretty basic point and click simular to the age of empires just with slight differances (and the fact your creatures you designed)
