Whoops! (map goof)

Post by EvilGrins » Sun Apr 29, 2012 4:08 am

You've got your MH map all setup, everything is looking good...

...except the exit is wide open!

It's not supposed to open until all the monsters are dead.

How do I close the exit?

Connect a trigger to the monsterend actor. When you are using creaturefactories then it would be wiseful to use a counter too. The event in the trigger is the creaturefactorie's name and must be set to triggeropentimed. The monsterend must be turned off, in order to have the trigger it opened. Would you like to have a screenshot with the correct settings or a quick made map?

If you used some Bots and door was meant to be opened with GRAB, be sure that bots opened it and not any trigger, they know this Native HELP.

Better remove bUseTriggered and leave it only TriggerOpenTimed.

Yh, true. But it is most wiseful, to show the most common way first.
I kept it just the way evilgrins can learn best;)

Pity, obviously not. Next time when u ask questions about MH, seek another mapper unless u give me some feedback. I need feedback in order to keep my mapping spirit up u see?.

Yeah!

Hey EG, please find the time when your internet connection starts working again to reply to Terra. Thanks!

1) I haven't had a chance to try it as yet.

2) Dude, a little patience! I've got other stuff in the fire (along with a new job) keeping me a bit distracted. I'll get to it when I can.

Yes and no.

It seems simple enough...

...but I don't quite get it. I mean, I can see it but I don't know how to set that up.

I was wondering if maybe you could take a look at the actual issue.

If I was better at monster skinning I'd make the gasbags green.

Just to kick this off again, I submitted a download link to the glitchy map in the post above this one... but it may've been a holiday that day or something as nobody got to it.

Take a look, see if you can fix that prematurely opened door for me.

Thanks!
