Even with the Titans, if you shoot them about center of their head, aiming at the juncture where there head goes into the shoulders, you can bring them down faster with a sniper rifle than with any other weapon because like most everything else in UT they're vulnerable to headshots.
Even if their head doesn't pop off after you kill them that way.
I haven't actually looked though, at all species. Is there anything in ut99, or any UT game, that you can't get a headshot on?
