I am seeing if anyone knows of a good method/software that will send an automatic receipt when an email has been opened. I use outlook express and I know that there is a send receipt request, but there some people who do not send the receipt when asked.

Is there a good method/software that will automatically send a receipt to me stating that the message has been opened?

I have seen at work where the option to not send a receipt can be grayed out. I think you are screwed though. Even in Outlook the option is left up to the recipient.

If you send an email with an exe file embedded in it to return a note, most any email client will either strip that off or delete the email outright as a security threat. Now this is not the same as a central server letting you know a note has been read, its more like you sent a mail to my mailserver and once it reaches my server you cannot access it unless I deem it ok. Kinda understand what I mean?

You could always try Mozilla Thunderbird *the mozilla mailing software* seems to work better than the crappy winblows stuff i think i seen on it a reciept sender thingy, but u will have to check it urself, It certainly works better and is easier and faster to use than OE
