Haiti - Terrible Earthquake

"People are without water; children are without food and without shelter," he said. "What we will see with the lack of water is the possibility of diarrheal diseases and, of course, that can kill children in a matter of hours if not tended to appropriately.

"It is very possible," Rodgers said, "that the situation can go from dire to absolutely catastrophic if we don't get enough food, medicine and work with children and their families to help them."

Well, it has been a terrible catastrophe. Even if I´m not related to Port-au-Prince, or even if I don´t know anyone from Haiti, I can´t help feeling sad. Perhaps because I have been in earthquakes before these news are shocking for me.

If you can help somehow do it; our prayers should be with them now.

I just heard an Old Friend and school mate of mine was on the radio and on the news.
I actually heard him speak on the radio myself while driving to work the other morning.
I haven't talked with him in years so it was a bit of a surprise to hear him talk about Haiti.
He runs a place called Healing Haiti
A lot of his work was destroyed and they will have to rebuild and start over now on some projects they were undertaking in Haiti.
His name is Jeff Gacek.
