All i am saying is The whole system is "F'd" up and we need to change it NOW.
I don't thing McCain is the answer.
I also don't think Obama will be the man for the job either.
My main concern is that despite what the people of this country want , money is the only true vote.
Everyone in politics owes someone a favor.
McCain has been there longer so i would bet his pockets have more hands. Dare i mention Palins "bridge to nowhere"

Obama has had less time to be swayed and speaks of the same problems i speak of.
The worst thing a government can do is turn its back on what its residents want. Yet super delegates are bought and voting machines are tampered with every four years. This never ends and it will drive us into the ground.
I admit i am not super educated on ether delegate.
But seeing them both speak made my mind up between the two.
When ever a topic was raised Obama would have a well thought answer to the problem at hand. he would explain in detail the plan of attack.
When McCain was given the microphone he had no plan , no opinions , just the same old walk around the subject dribble we have come to expect from out from our lying candidates. McCain also spent no time researching Obamas plans. McCain made assumptions about them with his attacks and was made a complete fool when he was called on it in one of the debates. It was hilarious, he was a blithering idiot. After seeing this kind of behavior i was sure who i was not voting for.

Yea the system sucks. I bet great leaders dont get the chance to be president because thier not "Rich" enough. MY history teacher said "ITs easy to become president. All you gotta do is know the system and be rich" Hell if i was rich id run. Plus the election is nothing more then taunts and jeers to each other. Personally. Id vote for "OTHER". Obama seems a likly choice though. "Im gonna cu taxes on hard working americans. Raise taxes for those who make 250,000$ a year. And cut taxes for those who dont makee that much. So we can make taxes the way the where in the 90's" I think that makes since.

I too am not American, but I know a bit of how it'll effect my nation as well as other nations in this world from the influence done by whoever is picked. Notice I didn't say voted, but picked cause when a person goes to vote for president, it's not a direct voting procedure, but via the delegates.
There has been calls in the past for changes to that, even an amendment to the Constitution for it. To bad that it's done in that very old way of a president being the winner by the most delegates within the various states, but modern technology makes that way quite obsolete now. Pity though that the 2 main parties will never want to change it, cause they like this way & are pros in how to use it so any other party/person will never get in.

Well folks, It looks like Senator Obama will be our next President. I voted for McCain and Texas was won by McCain as could have been predicted. I want to congratulate those of you who voted for Obama especially if this was your first presidential vote.

I wanted to give anyone who wanted to predict which party will win the next presidential election a chance to do so here. I will go first a predict Republicans. I also suspect that the Democrats will so wreck the country so fast that before the next presidential election most of the House, Senate, Congress who are Democrats will get voted out as sure as the Congress is mostly Democrats now and have the worst rating ever in history.

I wish McCain could have run more on his own merits than be viewed as a Bush copy-cat. Too bad for me. The public and the electoral college have spoken. I also wish that the country could get behind whoever wins the Presidency and give them a fair shot for at least 2 years before they turn on them. If this whole country could manage to back one party for 4 straight years and then the other party if needed for the next 4 years, we'd get twice as much done as we are getting done as a split country. I also feel that had this awful economic disaster not struck right when it did that McCain would have won. I still hate that the win would have also been so close that way too. We are in a divided country and it is sad yet American too I guess.

Congrats again to the future President Elect Obama supporters. I hope to see you by my side in 4 years going Republican with me! God Bless America and each of you no matter who you did or did not vote for. Take care. CYA!

Well I knew that it was coming. Obama did appear to have the popular vote going into the election. I guess we will have to wait and see if "change" is what Obama brings and if it will be for the better. It will be interesting.

This was a mile marker for the USA, if I say so myself. Even before Obama won. If McCain would have won, we would have had a female VP. Now Obama won, we now have the first African American president.

Congrats on those who voted for Obama. Hopefully we can get the government to work together and help out this country.

I just hope whatever happens brings the US closer together rather than apart. I can't judge either sides but I know that over the years things have gotten worse, If it was Bush's fault or not is not important I just hope to see a change in it. I can't complain as stuff from American import is getting cheaper and cheaper but I can understand others being less fortunate.

Over the years the United states have became the Divided states more and more. It'd be nice to see everyone get along again. I think that's what is most important isn't it?

Well, I hope for the best. I wish President Obama well. I did not vote for him, but that does not matter now. I hope he is able to guide the USA in a good direction. I hope he is able to prove me wrong about his inexperience. It is going to be a long tough road for him and the country. But it is a very good thing that "a person of color" could be elected President of the United States of America. That is a step in the right direction and a huge step. Now that milestone has been reached, lets hope he has some good skills to or chosen good people to work with him in helping the country. I already see issues with some people he has chosen to help him, but... lets see how this chapter unfolds.

I agree with David: simbolically is really good and this kind of things could be the first step to improve even more. Honestly, and for the americans I've met in my life, I always believed that people are more interested on economical, or national security policies than, for example, the race of the candidates: but it's good anyways.

However, I must say that this seems to be a president which has generated a lot of expectation, not only in the US but also abroad. There's some sort of Obamania all over the world, like Hellfire said, it's all over the news, not only in Europe but I can say that here on Latin America also. Of course, this kind of expectations and illusions generated could turn into dissapointments later. Not only for the good of the US, but also for the rest of the world because of the big influence the US nation has, I wish him the best too.

Go ahead and tell me what you really think. I'd like to hear from the Obama supporters; those who voted or would have voted for him especially.

If you don't have an opinion about the leader of our country, you are the enemy! You have to get into politics and likely will as you get older but at least until then have an opinion whether it is right or wrong and then talk about it with people to see if you know as much as you think you know. Keep an open mind and discuss it! Peace.
