Do these devices work as promised?

Post by a nameless entity » Thu Jul 28, 2011 11:04 am

I saw someplace either here, or at Mt. St. Helen's, a post by Helen mentioning a product he uses from this company:

http://www.bigfootnetworks.com/products/

The killer 2100 model sounds awesome but there is no way that I am going to put one in this 8 year old PC. It would however, go nicely in a computer system offered by a company called NCIX that catches my fancy.

But I have no idea if these things really perform as promised. Would one of these "network cards" really help my gaming, if I were to buy my budget conscious "dream PC"?
I'm a man........but I can change........if I have to........I guess

Basically its a gigabit ethernet with Quality of Service added, most routers can do this regardless, you won't see much performance unless you have a large bandwidth capacity.
