Well you are the only one that is having problems entering my site & forum.

Check your URL - Correct URL is-> http://www.hooksutplace.co.nr/
It may be on your end???

Nope, not my end. Something was buggy on getting into your forum only. Seems like the problem finally got figured out there now.

Everyone else that has gone there hasn't had any problems.
In fact, it has been exceptionally fast according to those who have logged on.
Must be the line from where you live to the forum host. ???
Oh well - God knows with the internet - right?

Actually, there was another person too (fyi). But things are ok right now. Not sure if you get logs that tell you if there's problems (most likey it's the provider who'll know only), but I'd keep a close eye on it for the next month if I was you just in case something else might happen.

Btw, I don't have probs going to the other several forums. Some even have a time on the pages to say how long it took to load up (mostly under a second)!

Oh - there is an Anonymous visitor to my forum that posts in the shoutbox under the name "SUN"
Not a bad person, but just kinda teases the site a bit.
They seem to Like the site though!

Ya usually the site is lightening fast loading!
I had a bit of a slow period this morning actually for the first time.
The host is on the West Coast of USA so may have some high traffic times.
But, it was back to Lightening Fast loading soon so it was probably high traffic on the net.
I believe the host is OK, etc. just the lines between may get high traffic - can happen to any site at times.

Ok, I confess... it's me! I thought the SUN line I said before ran a bell. It says SUN on there by default, so just used it & had a run on it.

Btw, I just tried getting there again at 5:15 local time (PDT) & wasn't able to connect in! Do those guys have a routine maintenence or period where they have it temporarily down? I swear something is happening & if need be I'll find a friend who's on & also try it then get them to report on what they also see. Can you check & find out (unless you see it to as soon as you try getting on there)?:?

OK, now it's worse! Here's what I got now:

The connection has timed out

The server at hooksutplace.co.nr is taking too long to respond.

That shoutbox detects your IP - whatever name you last typed into it will be there until you type another name.

Yes, I am getting the same thing.
My UT site isn't affected - just the forum end.
I will try to find out what it is!

Btw, big WHEW on my part then. I knew I wasn't imagining it... good thing you got online & was also able to catch it! Now I can relax about it & let you do your investigation.

The problem with my forum's host (not Hermskii's in case you are wondering) has been found & fixed -
It stems from the network upgrade last week - DNS cache issues - they have been solved but will take some time to recover - 24 to 48 hours for the DNS cache to re-cache? - good news!

Hopefully, with the upgrade last week & finding this problem, the forums will run great for quite some time to come!

So - check back to my forums later!
