Now how many of those day was the humidity above 75% because here in Houston it would be a whole bunch of them. 85 degrees in Houston with our normal humidity is like 100 everywhere else. Now just add 15 more degrees and hey, it's the beginning of a Houston summer. We were at 105 a few days ago.

Well I've already written off Florida as the place to go for the winter, because there's not very many interesting roads down there to motorcycle on. (They're all narrow, flat, and straight.)

So Arizona, Texas, and maybe Nevada come up on my radar. Perhaps a city at the base of the mountains would be nice. I have read about good riding roads in the mountains down that way. And cool breezes on a hot day winter day off of the mountains might be pleasant also.

Incidentally, I saw a very interesting program on PBS' "Think Bright" channel the other night. It was discussing the spring wildflowers of Texas. Blue Bonnets, Indian Paint and a bunch of others I forget the names of were shown. I could not believe the beauty in the fields that were full of all these different coloured blooms. It must be breath taking to see it in person. I got an idea of that sort of beauty you guys enjoy down south in April of 1991 when I drove my Mustang down to Florida to visit my parents. The wildflowers blooming along the boulevards of the interstate in South Carolina were just awesome.

Parents in Florida and you are in Canada! Why??? LOL. Georgia is nice to ride through especially if you take quiet highways and stay of the interstate. Alabama and Mississippi is pretty nice too. I hear Mississippi has a highway that runs the beach which is supposed to be very nice. I've ridden Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and I think that is about it. If there is more, I don't recall. I do recall being very impressed with Georgia cutting across it from the Northeast to the Southwest.

They were retired snowbirds, and I stayed home to work. I took care of the cat and the house and bills and such, so that they could go down there for 4 months. I would go down to visit them for 2 weeks each year.

I would love to win the lotto so that I could do the same thing!

I'd also like to be in Texas when those wildflowers are blooming.

Actually got up to (officially) 103 deg. F. with about 75 to 80% humidity yesterday - UGH!

Much cooler and less humid today. Ahhhh

I made it by Helen's last week as I said I would and went up in rank from 9 to 8.

There is a good chance I will not make it this weekend. I'll be in a half million dollar beachhouse all weekend with my family!
