Re: EA_Elemental and SuPreMe have a HUGE fight!! >:(
Great story though Namless. Back in the day I was a speed demon. To exceed 100 mph was always just a few seconds away. Hell, 0 - 60 was right around 3 seconds I think. If I was already doing 55 mph, all I'd have to do is drop her a gear or two and throttle up for about 2-3 secs, change gears up one and keep on the gas for another couple of secs and bam: 100 MPH!
Never hit red line on your bike because most bikes have something called a engine over revolution cut out switch which will kill one ignition coil until the bike is no longer red lining. On my interceptor, I had 2 coils. Each managed the spark for 2 cylinders. If I was ever at red line in any gear, you know I was hauling butt! The second I redlined, the coil would shut off and I'd instantly lose 2 pistons worths of power! That is basically the same as someone hitting the breaks hard while your not looking. It almost throws you over the handle bars! Don't do it. EVER! Scary!
I turned my bike in and complained it was broken. That is when they explained it to me and that I was a moron and not to do that anymore. LOL. I don't!

Fallen leaves over the roadway are scary at this time of the year also, because their bottom sides are almost always wet, and you can slide around quite a bit if there's enough of them.-SuPreMe- wrote:I tell ya wat is scary, wet roundabouts and wet drain covers, feeling the back slip out then throwing it back in control
Interesting point about roundabouts. What few we had around here were gotten rid of in the '70's because they were the source of too many accidents. Now they are returning as "traffic calming" measures. But they aren't the kind of roundabout you see in the UK that only slow traffic a bit and keep up the flow. These are nasty narrow little biotches that force you to slow right down. I predict many accidents at these as the narrow lanes mean there's no where to go if someone messes up. And they will mess up, because no one over here is used to roundabouts, the traffic signs are small and confusing, and they stick the damn things in the middle of a fast piece of highway without adequate warning.

I'm a man........but I can change........if I have to........I guess

Silly ignorant americans lol i swear sometimes americans dont know about anything that goes on in europe but europeans seem to allways know wat goes in america.Hermskii wrote:I'll ask. What is a roundabout?

To answer your question Herm its like a cross junction but its round so it keeps traffic flowing at a steady pace, roundabouts ussually have 4 exits and consist of 2 lanes sometimes 3, the inside lanes are for those taking the later exits from your aproaching angle and the outside lanes if your taking the closest exits from your aproach.
I remember my 1st time using a busy roundabout and i remember being scared and confused

Eh LOL! England is famous for "the magic roundabout", we have some of those here in Italy too.-SuPreMe- wrote:Silly ignorant americans lol i swear sometimes americans dont know about anything that goes on in europe but europeans seem to allways know wat goes in america.Hermskii wrote:I'll ask. Actually in England is even more complicated since they drive on the left side. Might become a real "rat-trap".

This is funny:

Yeah, we have one of these in Houston that I know of and I never have any trouble with it. There was one in Quito Equador too. That one was a monster!

125cc Cafe racers? Very cool!
I owned a Suzuki 125 enduro (on/off road) when I was 16.
While I was still 16, I raised the money (working at a resort restaurant) to buy a Honda CB650 / 4 cylinder.
That was a great bike especially for a 16 year old.
Arizona has some fantastic roads for motorcycles! Lots of peg scraping, wide-eyed, white knuckle thrills!
Gawd, I NEED another bike!
Have fun, be safe and always stay alert!

Plenty of U.S. cities have roundabouts.
It's clear Herm doesn't get out much.
Let's not hold that against an entire nation.

Just a friendly digg, dont get all patriotic on me now
Having a 650cc at age 16 thats real lucky, that wouldnt even be legal in the UK, 16 year olds here are stuck with 50cc

Yes, we have several of the RoundAbouts where I live also - in Minnesota USA.
I like them in the right places, but Please NOT in a highway!!!
(as a few are here)
