Still it was a real hoot!
Geez eh, are you talkin' about free beer?
So like, if so then here's a way to get a whole gross of free bottles of beer. Or is it just the method that's gross?
Well, decide for yourself, eh!

This set of videos is so gear head cool that I was/am tempted to give them their own thread.

It's a series of short videos that feature starting and riding a 1948 Indian Chief. He gives you a good idea what it is like to get one of these classic old machines going and out on the road. He goes for a short ride out in the country side and explains what he is doing at each step of the process of guiding the machine around on the journey. He also talks about riding the bike in general.

If you've ever wondered what it is like to ride a "suicide shift" motorcycle like I have, then be sure to give these videos a look see. :D

My only criticism would be that he didn't hold his head up high enough during the ride. I wanted to see more of where he was going because then the illusion of being in the saddle myself would have been a bit better. ;)

Goddamn, this one is a scarey one.
Sorry, but it's got such a long and complex URL that I can't be bothered spending all night figuring out how to get it to embed properly.

Almost as scarey were the nasty comments posted by trolls.
I think the video may have been recorded in the mountains of Arizona, because there were many cacti to be seen on the road side. So it may be nice and warm in the valleys during the winter in Arizona, but not so warm up in the mountains. I hadn't thought of that. A rethink of spending the winters down there if I ever win the lotto may be in order. ;)

This is the second part, which means that there's a good if not happy end to the story:

The music is loud at first, so stand by the mute button. After a bit the sound disappears altogether, for some reason. :|

My wife and her friend saw this video and laugh each time they see it or hear the song. The first time I saw the video due to my wife, I was left scratching my head (I am a caveman, a knuckle dragger. I am not one of those guys who shows affection to another guy, but I know some who are.) I see the humor in it and my wife enjoys it and after listening to the song a couple more times it does have a certain beat to it.

Ah the things you find on YouTube. This sketch dates back to over 5 years ago, but it's still funny.

What's even funnier are the comments posted below it by clueless morons who just don't get the humour!

Last summer the police had the top of my street all blocked off because there was a film being shot in the area. It was a big deal, you could see the trucks that had brought in the vintage cars that were parked in the street and in some of the driveways. I thought they were all done by late afternoon, but when I approached that part of the neighbourhood on my Harley the cop turned me around and sent me back the way I had come. I couldn't even turn down the side street. I guess he was afraid my "loud" pipes would spoil their soundtrack or something.

I forgot all about it, but while I was looking at the website for my resident's association, I found that someone had posted a link to the US national TV commercial that was made from the filming. Most of the scenes were shot right here in my neighbourhood. The opening scene was shot on Riverside Drive, which is the last street that you can turn onto before you leave the neighbourhood. The next two scenes that take you back in time were shot on my street just below Riverside Drive. I recognize the houses.

My town seems to be popular with American cinematographers. Other parts of the town have been used in at least two full length movies. The original "The Santa Clause" movie used a lot of shots done right here in town. I used to walk to high school every day on a path through George's Square that was used in one scene. I recognized the house that you can see in the shot when I was watching the film for the first time. :)
