I played a lot of UT and also I got well into authoring a New Map for UT99!!!

Well, I got UT installed now on the NEW computer. YAY
All seems to work pretty good. Playing anyway.
BUT
Chat doesn't work though...
I hit "T" and it says "Say" but when I type nothing shows.
Also, seemed to want to collapse the screen quite a bit.


PS: Use "the mod to load up all the servers fast?"

Sorry I've been offline so long - lots going on this past weekend around my house.
Several Grandchildren staying over and a plephora of other various things going on - whew!

Anywho - I was WRONG!
(wrong in the post above about my New install of UT99 on the New Computer and a few problems I had)
That was the first time I played the new install.
Yep - UT Runs PERFECT on my new computer now!!!
It is Beautiful indeed and smooth as silk - even at high res and everything set high!!!
I just rebooted UT again and all was there and all worked great - I guess I played it too soon and didn't let UT set itself up totally yet.
I have installed UT on a good number of computers over the years, but this install, on this newest of computers and Operating Systems, Win7, it is by far the best install yet that I recall anyway.

So, in conclusion, UT99 STILL works great on even the newest computers and OS's.
The "Geek Squad" man who was out on Sunday took a look at UT on my comp and thought that it was just amazing that it still installs and works great.

Now, I am going to document in a post in the appropriate section at HUTP just how it all went down!

Well, I don't think I even need Eavy Server Browser.
I hit the main UT Servers tab in the newly installed UT browser and viola, it loaded up lickety split!
Or very fast actually!
I gotta try it again and get a count in seconds.
But, due to the problems I encountered with 2 other UT installs when I added Eavy Server Browser to them, I think I will leave it alone.
Besides that, I seldom search the servers - I put most all I visit into the favorites tab.

I MAY revisit installing EavyBrowser, but I am gun shy at the moment.

I will bet it is very nice indeed!
Even with UT99, when I am lobbing TIME-Bombs in the "TIME-Bomb" configuration, I can just about read the little square Labels on the shell casings!
I might be able to - I gotta take another look at those)

Wow, it has been about 12 years since someone said anything like "our beasts of computers" to me - that is when I bought my old comp.
At the time it was a pretty good power house of a comp, and it is still a good rig.
