Weird Al

Post by David » Sat Sep 05, 2009 12:19 pm

I was going through some Weird Al ablums that I have on my computer. I need to admit, he is able to sing. I know the songs are for comedic reasons, but he can carry a tune and they are funny.

Such as this, Ode to a Superhero (Spiderman)
Ode To A Superhero.mp3
I have 12 cds of Weird Al on my computer.

I am not saying he is a great singer or any of my favorites, but I think you would need to admit, for a comedian he does OK.

I grew up listening to country music and my friends listened to the non country music. So singers who I like are Don Williams, Conway Twitty, Aerosmith, and etc. A variety of the "classics" of different genres. There are a some of the new people/groups that are OK, but I like the "olden days".

I have come across some more updated music that I found some value in. Such as All-American Rejects, Blink 182 (clean version), Nickleback, and some others.

But the older music brings me back when I was younger and that is one reason I like older music. It was good back then. Memories of a better time.

"In the third age of the Elves, the legend of the Sword would rise again, and when discovered the Sword would bring about the end of an age, and usher in a new age. And in these new days people would begin to talk about the old days as if they were somehow better than the new days. Except the weather, which was definitely much nicer.....
