I am not sure what happened or how to fix it. When I place my flash drive into my one computer, the icon is not being recognized and it gives me the following..

The flash drive is "Backup Joe 32" or K drive.
How can I get the icon to be the normal flash drive icon?

Hmm seems like you have a lot of flash drives there...
Is it just the icon is different? or will the flash drive not open?
If it doesnt open try answering some of these....
How about some more info?
Have you tried different usb outlets?
Have you tried it on another computer?
Did it work on another computer?
Has it ever given you any problems before this?

Well,....
Herm I did format the flash drive.
Bigboss, I am able to use the flash drive on my computer and others but only mine displays the flash drive as shown.
I have noticed that the features of automatically recognizing/noticing the flash drive and the safely remove hardware is not showing up. I do hear the audio acknowledgment that it gives when you plug it in but it does not act as it should.
My computer is doing that for other flash drives as well.......flash drive drivers?....

I tried and tried with errors, but so far I have it being recognized properly at this point in time and space. That can change at any time..how about now?
I reassigned the flash drive. I changed it from K drive to L and it does fine. Who knows and who cares. I can live with it working and showing a proper drive or I can live with it not showing the proper icon and still use the drive.
Thanks for the input.

Just wondering: is the driver file/folder present on the flash? If not, you should be able to find it at the manufacturer's website.
You MAY have a corrupt driver for the flash.
With the drive plugged in, open the device manager and uninstall the flash drive. (this does not delete any content on it).
Remove & replace the drive. This forces windows to re-install the drivers completely.

Well, I did uninstall the flash drive and all but still has some issues with the drive letter K.
Any device labeled as drive K has the same issues. So ......I just will try to stay away from drive K

It sounds like a pretty common issue:

Like David said, it could be a drive letter problem:
Well, in my experience, this is a Drive Letter problem.
Try this.
After you plug your usb memory on the computer, go to control panel, select Administrative Tools.
System Administration.
There, go for Storage, and then Disk Administration
You can see all your Disk Media Installed and Recognized.
Go for the one of your usb flash drive, right click on it and then
path and access letter and try M or N for it. Accept and then, go off those screens.
Unplug your flash drive and plug it back, voilá problem solved.
