Re: Dammit, I WANT one!
I own a business that buys and sells oil to places where someone like you would get his car's oil changed. A Chevy dealership was my largest client to date. I sell to chains that do oil changes for people and small mom and pop shops too. Large transmission shop chains are good business. I have been a computer guy for the last 20 years but I started my own business to sell oil back in 2008. I shut it down during the down-turn around 2010. Friends and clients asked me to start it up again around 2013. I officially opened the doors again and started selling at the beginning of 2016. It has been slow going but the last 3 months have all broken order records one after another. Business is way up!

Ahhhhhhh.............geeezz.
Harley Davidson is now offering the 2018 Tri Glide in the same colours as my old '85 Super Glide II. It's Burgundy and Slate, and looks awesome!
http://www.brownshd.com/inventory/v1/Cu ... ---7687741 (You'll have to scroll through the pictures to see it in the colours I like/want)
I just read a review in HOG magazine by a lady who rented a Tri Glide, and she said that it would be perfect for old geezers like me to be able to keep on riding.
***sighs*** I gotta win me the lotto!

This is going to be fun! I just bought a 2012 Kawasaki KLR650 with only 800 miles on it. Thing looks brand new! Take that! I got it for only $3500.00 and I get to pick it up in about 2 weeks. Can't wait!
It looks like this:

Ah, now that is one sweet and very practical looking bike. We've spoken before about how great an all 'round bike these Kawi's are. You're getting a nice flat seat so you can move around on long rides, and a pannier to strap your stuff down to at the back.
Try arranging your stuff so that your duffel bag is directly behind you, so that you can lean back on it. I did that during my "down East" tour in 1989, and it was one sweet set up. I'd lean back with my feet on the highway pegs and cruising down the highway was like driving while sitting in an easy chair. The miles slid by easily.

Re: Dammit, I WANT one!
Nope, I'm all done with crotch rockets and long drives. This is for playing in the mud and getting to work when I'm late. Oh and for the hobby factor. I already have well over 20 changes I'll be making to it. I never knew but the term when modding a bike is "Farkle" as in it has been farkled or farkles galore etc etc.
Whatever. I just want to put my garage and tools to use again and see improvements with the bike over time. I can't wait to ride it on horse trails and through the streets on hot summer days wearing nothing but my shorts and some tennis shoes.

Re: Dammit, I WANT one!
Me too!

So, how did that Kawi work out for you?
Here's my latest "dammit I want one":
https://www.harley-davidson.com/ca/en/m ... ultra.html
The nice thing about the 2019's is the improved drive line, and the easier to read dash board instruments and dials. Much better for these old eyes.
Of course I really need a new double garage too, so I should add that to the wish list, first I suppose.
Reality check:
https://fortnine.ca/en/progressive-susp ... ies-shocks
I'm sorely tempted to buy a new set of tires and the above shocks. The old tires still have some life in them, but should be replaced anyway. And, after putting a set of progressive's fork springs in my bike some years ago, I was amazed at the improvement. So these shocks should do the same, while making it much easier on my aging back. The reviews are quite positive. Interestingly, you can fit a set of 444's to H.D.'s Tri Glide!

Other makes of bikes can also accept Progressive Suspension products too, by the way.

Ha!
I loved the Latest wish list and the the reality check. Thanks!
My Kawi is doing great. I did tones of stuff to it already and have certainly started using the garage again as I had hoped I would. I never finished a definition early. For KLR's and maybe other bikes, if you do little improvement mods, they are often called a Farkle. I have since learned that means "Functional Sparkle". Doing these little thinks are cool because you can usually notice the improvement and when you see someone else with the same model and they don't have the farkle, you know your is better and you love yours more. LOL.
My bike was too short so I raised it. Now it is too tall. It was very slow and ran like crap but I rebuilt and rejetted the carb and it is much better but is still too slow. I need new tires because mine are dry rotted from being 7 years old. They are worn down already and I still have put less than 500 of the the total 1500 mile on this bike. More later. I have to go watch Star Trek. Pictures coming.

Ummm, doesn't that video belong in the "Feeding the birds and NOT the tree rats" thread?
Otherwise, I don't get the reference.

Question I have is - I see that the seed does not spill out, so, how do the birds it is intended for get the seed out?

I was wondering about that myself.
I saw in the comments section that someone was asking where you could buy that feeder. I'd like to know that too.
