Despite having a ping around 185, I held up pretty well.
Lots of members playing.
Some maps I've never seen, so that was nice.
Many maps were very small so it was LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop,LoopofPoop, etc.
One particular map, DM-Scnelldorf had only one spawn point so it was nothing but players telefragging over and over again.

I tried !vote and nothing happened. I also noticed no one else voting.

Played with 3 others (regulars to that server) for about an hour.
They confirmed that there was no mapvote...in broken English.
Map wise I played about 5 games and all were similar...small, bot filled spraying maps.
Plus the 3 regulars were clueless to the technique of spraying...they just did it.
One guy called be a cheater because I looped & pooped my way to a large margin victory....lol
In this case old school is not better and its regulars could use a better education (air condition).

Not all servers use Nexgen. Did you try with the good old "mutate bdbmapvote votemenu" command in your system console? Anyway if they really have only a few maps they probably don't need a mapvote.

I stopped by their server at last this morning.

Lots of bots. Unfortunately they skate instead of run, and won't shut up. Constant taunts and "I've got the flag" etc even though I have taunts shut off in my game. I guess it's a ping issue. (Curiously, I see the bots skate and hear them taunting on Herm's server whenever DM-Aftermath is running.)

Despite the skating bots suggesting a bad ping, I found I could spray and guide quite well, and did not notice much if any lag when the bots would fill the sky with redeemers.
Map vote is now working. I chose an old favourite from the Schwantz server, Deck 17r. Unfortunately I could not move in this map, and neither could I respawn after a bot killed me. (My chat colour was white, as if I was in spectator mode as well.)

Overall I would say that the Fatz Clan server is running very nicely, and is definitely worth a visit.

And even if that unable to move issue affects me on CG, I would still like Deck 17r added to Curious George's.

I know that Scify has requested this map as well in the past.

It is easy to "throw rocks" at another but we do not mean any harm by doing so. They were just pointing out differences that they are used to. I went to the server and it was a killfest, bots shooting everybody, everybody shooting bots, it was a confined space and everybody was dying. I do not see a need to apologize about the "bad english", that is why we Americans left them.....lol Seriously, your English is better than my German..... or any other language. Good job on the 10 years...Hopefully there will be another 10 years. Glückliche 10 Jahre (I had to use an online translation website for that) Hopefully you took no offense to the German Coast Guard video, I had a female co-worker who is from Germany and she thought that was FUNNY.
